at my wits end - please help!
I read with interest your postings on Euphrasia. For the last 10 months I have had nothing but trouble with my eyes. They are constantly red and sore, and apparently have papillae under the eyelid suggesting an allergic response. The lids are not inflamed, just the whites of my eyes which have constantly dilated blood vessels.I have been to my primary care physician, my opthamologist (more times than I care to remember), the eye hospital ER (even more), and even an allergist who found no allergies but put me on a yeast-free sugar-free diet (which did nothing). One opthamologist thought I was allergic to contact lenses, which I have not worn for 6 months but to no avail. In the meantime I have been on a steady stream of eye drops ranging from antibiotics to steroids to mast cell blockers and anti-histamines. At one point I was taking 4 different sets of drops 4 times a day for 2 months, which is a lot of time out of the day for anyone who has to work!! Plus I am allergic to common preservatives in eye drops, so it is costing me an absolute fortune to keep getting single dose units of medications that do nothing!! Please help. I have resorted to using vasoconstrictor drops, which I know is a bad solution, but I am desparate. I will try almost anything at this point. This morning I started euphrasia 30, with the advice to take 6 doses in the first day. Sorry about the long post, but if anybody could help I would be eternally grateful.

if there are not the symptoms that i asked,try "nat mur 30" 3 times a day if ur food desire is salty,and if u like sweets then try "arg nit 30"

Hi again,
- No discharge from the eyes
- No sneezing that I notice
- Eyes are infrequently itchy; mostly just feel watery and sore (and always red), sometimes irritated as if foreign body was in eye (but I never found any)
- Symptoms last all day but appear to have started in January when I changed jobs and moved into an office with no natural light or air. Can't do anything about that one so I just have to find a way to live with it!

PS: does it make a big difference to treatments to have salty vs. sweet preferences? I crave both at different times.

hi again, I took the doses of nat mur as recommended. My eyes are still red and quite sore, but 2 people have commented that they are not as red as usual. I am delighted with even this small improvement. Should I keep taking them, and if so for how long? I have some hope again - thanks so much!
