I have been taking the supplement EverCLR which consists of Burdock (root) 80 mg, Ashwanganda (root) 40 mg, Echinacea Ang. (root) 40 mg, Echinacea Pur. (root) 40mg, Hydrangea (root) 40 mg. This was put out by Halo Supply Co. in San Diego, CA. I have taken this for over 2 years now and have gotten to where I do not have break outs. If I start feeling the tingling of a break out I double up on it and it will subside. I have not had a cold to speak of in the past 2 years either. The only problem is that the company is no longer making this product. They have changed to Olive Leaf which they claim will do the same as the EverCLR. I will be starting on that this week - we'll see. If it does not work I will have to find individual stuff to equal the former remedy.

I have heard that Hypericum given at the earliest possible time when the tingling starts is effective. Anyone try this? | | |

Hi,
this is not homeopathy but it has worked for my mother for about a year now - L-Lysine (amino acid), 1000mg, on an empty stomach, with a little Vitamin C. (I think it can be taken with carbs but not protein).
I read about it in 'Prescription for Nutritional Healing' (Balch)
L-Lysine kills the Herpes Zoster virus.
Before, my mother would get several outbreaks a year.
It is also really important for her to avoid draughts around the head especially. the virus lives in the ear canal apparently.
