Question by "sazim", a forum member, in http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/35254/2

What is the homeopathic cure for "plantar Fasciitis". I am suffering from this condition for last 3 years, currently i started doing some stretching exercises and wearing some splinters at night, but i need some homeopathic support which can assist me internally

"sazim" - I have started this thread, as more forum members would join, help with further suggestions and others would benefit from it.

In 80% cases, the pain mimicking "Plantar Fasciitis", is linked to the psychological state of high stress and strained mind. If so, a constitutional repertorisation is to be done, depending on the detailed symptoms provided by you.

Indicated Homeopathic remedies = Ruta, Puls, Medor, Led, Hyper, Rhus.

Check for Blood Sugar, Blood Pressure, your Foot-wear. Gastric symptoms. Here to remember is More gastric problems is equal to more feet discomfort & pain.

1.Relief can also be obtained by acu-pressure. Systematically self-press hard every centimeter of feet sole, with tip of hand-thumb for 5 seconds, hold and then release. Repeat same point 2-3 times. Cover, gradually, entire feet. Once a day.
2. MOST BENEFICIAL : Hot water, upto bear-able limit, (not warm water). in a wide mouth water tub. Add 10 ml Gylcerin in hot water. For atleast minimum 20 minutes, submerge both your feet, upto ankle level. No washing feet with fresh water after this.
Daily before bedtime. Till symptoms persist.
3. Take Cal.Flour-6X + Silicea-12X. Four tablets each. Four times daily, till symptoms persist.
Above 1,2,3 points should be sufficient to relieve you from your feet discomfort, without the aid of any constitutional remedy.

Let us all know, if the doing of above helps you.

A small thoughtful proverb : "Diseases come on horseback, but go away on foot"

If we are looking at calcareous outcroppings under the heel of the foot ---

I have cured many cases of this using 3x 0r 6x of the remedy
Hecla lava

In my experience it is uniformly reliable at the LOW poyency.

Re: Heel Spurs = Plantar FasciitisFrom Rincewind [Log on to view profile] on 2005-09-24
For spurs, definitely Hekla Lava in low potency with maybe Calc fl in medium potency to restore bone surface. For most types of fasciitis, try phytolacca in high potency 2-3 times daily for about a week.

I have used Insoles in footwear as I had a bad pain in left heel 2 years ago and I use it everyday and also wear sandals in shape of Insoles. My feet were diagnosed by a Podiatrist to be flat and hence needed the curve to form an arch. Using them has helped me and I have no pain at that point. After a very very long walk or playing I feel a slight pain which goes away with rest
Here we get them from Chemists store under the brand name of ORTHOHEEL.
All the best

Absolutely-- steer clear of 200c potency -- too high for this type of problem.

"ahmedbayat" :
Looking at your age and projected medical profile, Nesha-India suggests the following, as well along with the bio-chemic's you are taking. The following will help you in most of your medical troubles.

REPRODUCED from the original post, as above.

Hi,
I am suffering from Plantar fasciits for last 6 months. Started with an injury in the foot and took few weeks for the pain to go aawy.

Now the pain comes back whenever I stand on my foot for slightly long time or walk even slight long distances. My feet have been diagnosed ny an othopaedic to be flat and lacking sufficient arch.

schandra: you mentioned about relief from use of ORTHOHEEL -Are they available at ordinary chemists in india ? and are there podiatrists in cities like Delhi (have never heard of podiatry here; hence am having difficulty in locating one).

Thanks in advance,

I have been able to recover from my plantar fasciitis, and I found that the following has helped me a lot

Reduced body weight
All my slippers and shoes have arch and heel support now (you can ask about this with a good shoe maker, as very few companies in India and Pakistan are providing these kind of supports in their products)

Calc Flour Biochemic medicine 3 pellets 6X, two times a day

regards
sazim

I agree totally with sazim that shoes play an important part in heel spurs

My mother had this problem as well and never had to take anything for it. All she did was get a pair of shoes with good heel as well as good ankle support with laces. She went to a small shoe shop that specializes in specialty shoes and the sales person was able to find just the correct shoes for her. These shoes also relieved her knee pain which was being caused by inadequate ankle support. I do not recall the brand of the shoes but they cost very clost to $100

What I learned from the sales person is that shoes with shoe laces are better because they grip on to your foot better.

Apparently, there are companies out there that claim to make shoes specifically for this problem.

Here's a website I found.

Hi,
Thanks for providing the useful informations. I will also want to point out that I am not overweight at all. Rather all my life, I have been underweight. It is only in the last couple of years that I have gained appropriate weight, though my body frame still looks slender. So I don't think body-weight may be causative factor in my case. (my pain started after an accidental self-inflicted minor injury to my foot)

I also want to know if plantar fasciitis is same as "heel spurs" or 'heel pain'. In my case, I feel pain and sometimes, only plain discomfort in the entire sole of my both feet. The orthopaedics here told me it is flat-feet but after reading on the web, I found that my symptoms match those of plantar fasciitis.

Re: Heel Spurs = Plantar FasciitisFrom walkin [Log on to view profile] on 2006-06-16
If you read up the provings of Medorrhinum you will find that in some cases of gonorrhea the SOLES of the feet were so tender that people crawñed on their knees -- in extreme cases.

Try wearing Dr. Scholl's massagio sandals. I myself had same problem and after using these sandals for about a year, I am now able to wear normal sandals. These sandals are marketed by Bata Shoes in India.

I am an active sports person and in my game we use our toes to move quickly on the court and this kind of lead to stretching of plantar and resulted in Heel Spur and now when i play my game i have really bad pain on my left foot.
I have started some homeo remedy of Antim Crud and Arnica
also i apply arinca gel.
What i need is some medicine to remove the heel spur from foot...what that could be..
If the heel spur is removed the plantar fascitis goes away..so whats the best homeo medicine for this problem..

i have copied the following information from the above posts itself. On the basis of that information i suggest you take BIO_CHEMIC - Cal.Flour-6X + Silicea-12X. Four tablets each. Four times daily for seven days. Report your response here after 7 days. It has helped ahmedbayat so it may help you. For taking bio-chemic one need not individulise that much as one needs for taking a homeo remedy.
