Protein/Microalbumin in urine

Hi,
My father is 61 years old. Suddenly, he developed following symptoms which have now stayed with him. His current symptoms for last 1.5 months are
- Extensive swelling in entire body including legs, abdomen, eye lids, upper arms, stratum, it is pitting, is there all the time and gets hard on sitting on chair.
- Suppressed Urine
- Extreme Shortness of breath on changing position like from sitting to standing.

Clinical symptoms include:
- 3gm/L of protein in urine out of which 2gm is albumin.
- 2+ blood in urine
- 5.4 mmol/L serum potassium

Rest kidney and liver blood work was within range.

Other symptoms are
- high pulse around 95
- blood pressure in the range 112-117/67-77
- blood oxygen level around 95%

Current medicines are Arsenicum album 200c and Berberis Vulgaris 30c daily for last 20 days.

The same sudden onset of symptoms had occurred in October 2012 (I don't know if clinical status was same since we didn't do any function tests). The swelling was not so extensive was primarily in legs.
During that Arsenicum Album 200c had provided relief and the swelling was gone, it would however come back when he sat for long hours.

Now Ars Album is having no effect at all. We have tried Apis Mel and Natrum Mur for 3 days each with no success.

Looking for help

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Hi

Is there a constant urging to pass stool? And any issues are there with the motion?

Is there a constant urging to pass urine?

Is there burning and/or pain and/or blood in passing urine?

Is the body cold?

How did it start? Was some treatment undertaken for something that preceded this?

No, there is no constant urging to pass stool. However, in Feb 2013, there were three separate diarrhea attacks with 7-9 watery stools each where there was sudden urging for stool.

No, there is no constant urging for urine. In fact, there is no urging.

No, there is no pain in passing urine. There is microscopic haemturia which was there in urinalysis.

No, body is not cold. But person feels cold.

It all started twice. First time on October 21 with eating chicken at dinner. Followed by two days where he was lying in bed with zero energy.
Second time, in Feb-march with first diarrhea, then just sitting in front of computer for 13 hours at a stretch for 10 days followed by drinking coffee for 3 days. Not sure which out of the above triggered it.

Is there blood in urine? If yes then, is it throughout, first part or last part?

What doses hv u tried Arsenicum album in?

Do u feel this could hv been triggered by Food Posioning?

There is no visible blood in urine. On urinalysis, microscope RBC were seen.

Ars Album 200c

It could have been in the chicken

We must start with Cantharis.

Pls put Cantharis 200, 2 drops or 5 pellets, in 3 teaspoons water.
pls take 1 teaspoon every 15 mins for a total 3 times on one day only.
Pls gv your feedback after 5 days.

what's the status now?

Zady101 last decade
No change after Cantharis.
In addition, extreme swelling in bladder and scrotum.

Hi
This is Cantharis aggravation. Did
you exceed doses?

Zady101 last decade
No, just 3 in 1 day

If you can hold on for 5 days more, things will be clearer. Meanwhile u can continue with English medicine (allopathy) treatment.

If things go out of hand, Arsenicum Alb 1M is the medicine, just 1 dose taken in the same way as suggested in my previous mail. 1 dose only IF NEEDED.

In the meantime, please provide all the current symptoms in detail again.

Hi- seems to me the first time - this began with
bad food - Ars Alb worked.

The second time he had diarrhea to start it off and
that also may have been bad food. I have this
feeling that him drinking coffee antidoted the
ars alb somehow, Even tho he took it after
he drank the coffee.

Then it would seem that why not try Ars alb in
a wet dose like 3 pills in a quarter cup of water in
a bottle and shake the bottle 10x before a dose.
Bc each time you shake it or hit it hard you change
the vibration of the remedy to a slightly different
one and the body will react as if it is new.

As far as sitting for long periods of time he just can't do
that-not good for anyone. My opinion is that Ars
Alb is still the remedy for him and I would want to try a wet dose of Ars
alb, and shaken or hit 10x before a dose to see if it would work. And
then go up to 1M, if needed.

Zady is advising you here, so you have to wait out
the cantharis right now, as he said.
