6 year kid no interest in writing

Dear doctors,

My 6 year old son, currently studying in first class - has a great difficulty of writing. He is very good in oral and other speaking skills. He know what to write, but will not write. Need to push him every second to write every letter. School teachers complains that he gets preoccupied and keeps diverting himself. Not listen to the instructions or copies from the black board. Because of diversions and preoccupation, he forgets his books, box, pencil everyday and everyday. Everyday we councel him what he has to do at school, he listens carefully - but forgets in the next second. He also forgets which line he is writing. In examas, eventhough he know everthing, becuase no one pushes him, he is leaving all blank. We are requesing the school to push him to write continuously (not prompting as he know to read and write). Once we push him, then he reads and write and next second - forgets, diverts and does something else - but doesn't like to write.

We want him to be active, alert and responsive in school.

Please help us!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Can you give a snapshot of his behaviour during the last six years , include as many details as possible describing his personality , any odd thing you noticed , his likes and dislikes , his weather and food preferences , his fears and desires , his sleep patterns , his social skills
