Rhus tox dangerous?
I am at my wit's end with poison ivy outbreaks and heard I can prevent it with one 30c dose of R.T./mo. I'm extremely eager to do so. The long and short of it is that I will be inevitably exposed all summer and all precautions seem useless. However, my mother warns the doctor says RT is dangerous. How dangerous? I spend over $100 on scrubs and creams every week and hours tending the rash each day. My skin develops post inflammatory hyper pigmentation at each summer's close. I'm willing to take a reasobale risk to prevent outbreaks. What's the safest way to proceed??Atieno

sulpur 200c 1 dose is better alternative--but of no use now that season of rhus -t has started --will end up giving strong rhus-t poisoning symptoms--BUT--you wont get it next year (or least drastically lessened.)...need to use prior to season--if have poisoning skin symptoms now-then need your particular characteristics.
increase ( -dose or so -noting effect--not prolonged overuse)Pantothenic Acid vitamin supplementation --can safely up dose until diareaha occurs or nausae--some sort of gastric effect and then stop.but need not go that extreme.
include garlic increasingly in diet

Wait, so after the season but before next, like during the winter, I need to take 200c Sulpur, and right now I need to eat garlic and as much panthothenic acid as I can stand, and 30c RT 1/mo? I have rash all over my body but not severe and will be exposed 4 days a week all summer, so want prevention as well as current clearance. Is RT dangerous??

if have rhus poisoning now--especially if in yellow crusting stage then 1 dose sulhur 30c---
do not take rhus-tox at all.
also take panthothenic acid

sulphur will address susceptability
may need go up in potency --but wait see your response to 1st dose of sulphur 30c---
also VERY IMPORTANT to avoid all alcoholic beverages and refined sugar and products made with refined sugar..

ok, take pantothenic, eat garlic, and next season take sulphur 30c to prevent but avoid all sugar and alcohol (until?).
Anything i can do this season to prevent? If i wait til this outbreak is clear, can I take the sulphur? Is it complete protection or should I still wash frequently to avoid urioshol? Why does everyone else swear by rhus tox as a preventative??

do you have any symptoms of poisoning now? if so please describe.
i cannot answer why everyone swears by rhus-t --- it is common to use remedies as prophylactics and does work--but taken when symptoms of dis-ease are occurring becomes isopathy not homoeopathy--and this is not curative-in that case neither is using remedies as prophylactic---the susceptabilty to poison ivy can only be satisfied if under lying cause is treated---

Yes I have symptoms of poisoning at present, one week after last day of exposure I am still devloping fresh outbreaks. It is not a severe case, and am avoiding scratching --with steriod cream, zanfel scrub. Leathery patch on hip, single dots or small patches on stomach, buttock, forearms, hands, legs, chin. Most active areas of itchiness currently are hip, stomach, arms. After symptoms clear is it safe to take the r.t. as preventative, as I will be exposed for certain once more when (if...) I return to the same location. Changes all my summer plans very unfortunately unless I can find a prevention.

This is the first time I've used steroid creme. Other years I used non-prescription cremes and took steroids orally. I will take the pantothenic and wait for this outbreak to clear, then take the 30c sulpur and hope no drastic outbreak recurs. If it allows me to spend the summer as planned, it is worth the risk. Thanks for your help.

no wonder you are having problems ,steriods dont leave the body are stored in that fat an the liver, brain you will have reactions wether you like it or not that crap has to come out some how if too painfull take parasetamol

i was wondering around with spinal cord compression for 9 years before it was picked up. the year before i sucummed to fribro i had the xrays ,mri showed it up for my neck. the worse thing of all was i had manipulation under anesthetic fo my shoulders and the gave me steriods which i later got rid of with thuja
then the opp have still got pains in the main bone that joins neck and head together
also feels like knife stuck in middle of shoulder blades
also fo got to mention the night of the assult i was paralized fro the neck down be for this had i had taken arnica and hypericum so i only was like this fo 24 hours. and allso have depression because of nerve pain
