Female Hair Loss - 38

Amazing website. Grateful I found it! Below are my answers to Rishimba's questionnaire.

My diffuse hair loss has gotten progressively worse over the last 3 years, as described below in detail, and I would greatly appreciate any advice on what remedies to take.

Thank you in advance and blessings to anyone willing to help out!

Sex: Female
Age: 39

Please answer the following questions in a descriptive manner after careful analysis and recollection of previous experiences and happenings.

1. Describe your main suffering?
Diffuse hair loss with noticeable thinning at the front hairline.

2. What other physical sufferings do you have in your body?
Cold hands and feet, dizziness when standing too quickly, gallbladder issues, poor absorption of vitamins and minerals, gallbladder tenderness, poor digestion, sluggish liver, painful yet short and heavy menses, constipation, startles easy, tired adrenals, ears ringing, ovarian cysts.

3. What mental sufferings / feelings do you have associated with your physical sufferings?
Fear, anxiety, bossiness, neat freak, feeling unsafe, out of control, indifferent.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
Panic, despair and hopelessness.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?
Noticed a decrease in hair growth 10 years ago but it became severe 3 years ago after an very stressful period, exactly when I started to have gallbladder pain.

6. Which time of the day you are worst?
Early morning and mid-afternoon.

7. What are the things which aggravate your suffering and which are those which ameliorate the same?
Stress and fatigue make me angry and anxious. Peace, quiet, being alone and distraction calm me.

8. Do your think your sufferings have relation to any external stimuli (like, change of place) or any internal biological changes in the body, like, menses (in females)?
I think I have a weak immune system (inherited) and a nervous constitution and that external stress and stimuli worsens my condition.

9. When do you feel better, during hot weather or cold weather, humid or dry weather?
Warm weather is ideal. Cold and humidity cause problems.

10. Describe your general mental set up? Are you Moody, Arrogant, Mild, Agreeable Changeable, Nervous, Suspicious, Easily offended, Quiet, Arguing, Irritating, Lazy etc.
My personality tends toward the Type A standard, hard-driving, critical of myself, introverted, bossy when challenged, nervous, easily offended, quiet, pensive, people-pleaser, generous to others but not to myself

- How do you feel before or during a thunderstorm?
Good. I enjoy it.

- Do you like being consoled during your tough times?
I feel uncomfortable when people try to be supportive of me but resent it when they aren’t.

- Are you sensitive to external stimuli like smell, noise, light etc?
Very! I jump at the tiniest sound. But my sense of smell is only acute with certain thing.

- Do you have any typical habit or gesture like nail biting, causeless
weeping, talking to one self etc?
I don’t have a physical habit but I do repeat myself frequently as a habit.

- How do you feel about your friends, family, your children and especially your husband / wife?
Unappreciated. Not listened to.

11. What are your fears and do you dream of any situation repeatedly?
My main fear is being bald at this point. My hair was the only thing anybody ever complimented me on so losing it has been torture. I often dream I’m being attacked and can’t defend myself no matter how hard I try.

12. What do you crave for in food items and what are your aversions?
I crave sweets and carbs mixed with protein (not just carbs alone). I dislike very spicy or very tangy or tart foods.

13. How is your thirst: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal to low. I only drink purified water.

14. How if your hunger: Less, Normal or Excessive?
Normal. I only eat three times a day and rarely snack.

15. Is there any kind of food which your body can’t stand?
Very spicy food and very rich food (my gallbladder gets mad!).

16. Is your sweat normal or less or more? Where does it sweat more: Head, Trunk or Limbs?
I don’t sweat much at all.

17. How is your bowel movement and stool type?
Very constipated. If I don't take aloe vera pills, I wouldn't go at all. The stool is typically quite yellow in color.

18. How well do you sleep? Do you have a particular posture of sleeping?
I don’t toss and turn but I need A LOT of sleep (8-9 hrs) but still don’t feel refreshed. I sleep on my right side, fetal position.

19. Do you think you are able to satisfy your sexual desires in general?
My libido is low to almost nonexistent.

20. How do you think you are different from others, if at all?
I think I’m too hard on myself, not careful enough. I can be upbeat for others but not for myself or my pursuits.

21. What medications have been taken earlier by you to treat the diseases and do you have any particular symptom surfacing after the medication?
I was prescribed Armour thyroid many years ago but no longer take it. It helped with the extreme fatigue I had at the time, which was caused by a crash diet.

22. What major diseases are running in your family?
lymphoma, diabetes, stroke.

23. Describe, how do you look like? Describe your overall appearance.
Very dark hair, very pale skin, dark circles under the eyes. Balanced body; figure 8 shape but if I gain a lot of weight, I go pear-shaped. Hard to develop muscle tone or “get skinny.”

24. (ONLY FOR FEMALES)

Please answer the following questions:
(Please give details of your past menstruation if you have attained menopause.)

- Are the periods early, regular or late in general? How long do they last?
Periods come every 24-26 days, last 3-4 days.

- Do you suffer from any kind of physical or mental discomfort before, during or after the periods?
Weepy 7 days before period, breast tenderness, gallbladder discomfort, some burning sensation in the urinary area in the days leading up to my period.

- Is the flow scanty, normal or excessive?
Flow is heavy day 1-2 then drops off dramatically.

- Is the blood thick bright red or pale watery?
Blood is bright tomato red.

- Do you notice any clots in the flow?
First day, no. Second day, very clotted.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Lycopodium 200 as follows and see how that affects in next 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Thank you very much for your quick response!

I do have Lycopodium (by Boiron) but it is only available locally in 30 c, not 200c.

Should I take more because of the smaller dosage or take the 30c dosage for a longer period of time? The Boiron bottle recommends 5 pills 3 times a day.

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Sadly, I have had no improvement with my hair loss or shedding since taking the recommended dosage of Lycopodium. Any advice would be much appreciated.
