Colic/gas in 5 week old baby; proving remedies?

I am a first time mother to a lovely 5 week old girl. She struggles with some colic and painful gas. I've tried treating her with homeopathy but, I'm afraid, I'm not as well educated as I should be in the matter and worry I am doing more harm than good.

When she was about 3 weeks old she started having a fussy spell nightly between 6 and 10 p.m. She would cry if not being held and if she fell asleep she would awaken and cry if put down. My mother advised me to give her Chamomilla 30C once a day in the evening, which I did for a period of about a week. Her symptoms improved somewhat in that she was able to sleep better and more soundly. However, after a few days, she seemed to get increasingly fussy and her gas issues were worsening in that she would cry and act pained while trying to pass gas or stool.

I ordered a couple of books about homeopathy and, after a bit of reading, decided Nux Vomica might be a better fit for her. So I stopped giving her Chamomilla and started giving her Nux Vomica 30C in the evening. Again, her sleep seemed greatly improved as did her fussiness and her gas issues seemed helped though not completely solved. After some more reading and gas symptoms that were again worsening (including constipation) a I again switched, this time to Pulsatilla 30C. I felt this to be the best fit as her fussiness was improved and all of her gas issues seemed remedied.

However, after three days or so of Pulsatilla she has been increasingly fussy again between 6 and 10 p.m. and inconsolable unless being held and carried by myself. Her sleep is fine and gas issues are greatly improved however. I wonder if I should go back to Chamomilla? Should I stop treating altogether? Am I overdosing and making everything worse?

I'm not sure what information you need from me, but any assistance would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm afraid I'm worsening the situation instead of improving it.

Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please give her a single dose of Silicea 200 and see how that affects in next 7-10 days.

Thank you for your reply. Could you clarify for me, please, if the remedy you recommend is to help with the gas/fussiness or to counter all the other remedies? Also, what is a dose?

She should feel better overall after taking the remedy. You may give the remedy in the way you have given remedies earlier. Dose size doesn't matter in homeopathy.
