cracked skin on finger tips only

My mom 60 yrs is suffering from very dry rough skin on her finger tips. The look cracked ,red and painful. No itching. She has this for the past 10 years. She took Petroleum remedy long time ago and she does not remember the potency. But she remembers that it caused immense aggravation and only increased her cracks more, so she stopped taking it. I am assuming then that she will respond well to Pet. Can someone suggest at what potency she should start, if Pet is what she needs. Or is there a better remedy.? When she eats sea food or chicken it also aggravates.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I believe that Arnica 6c in the Wet dose taken twice daily can help her. It has helped many who present cracks on their heels and rough skin. Please follow the instructions below to make the Wet dose and in her case she can also dip her fingers into the remedy which is poured out into a container which will be used often to soak the fingers as often as is possible.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.
