Severe period pain

Hi everyone I'm wondering if you would be able to help me.
Since I was 13 years old I have suffered with severe period pain. I'm now 37.
The pain throughout the years has been changeable with regards the duration. The pain is worse at the onset of menstruation and remains severe for at least three days. The pain peeks after about 8 hours of the onset. The pain does not suddenly come and go. I bleed a normal level. I'm very healthy.

The period pain is not what I think is normal. I never get lower back pain but I sometimes have pain in my right shoulder. The actual period pain I would never describe as cramps. It is not a pullsatting pain. It is a continuous pain in my pelvic region. A constant pain. No stabbing . No pinching. Just constant pain as though the muscles feel continuously stretched for over three days. On days four and five I suffer with painful bowel movements. I cannot sometimes then tell if it is my b

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Sorry I posted before I was finished!

I have been to many conventional doctors and they are unable to help. I went for a scan and have an ovarian cyst just a simple one the size of an orange. I'm not even sure I still have it or even what side it is. I get no pain during the rest of the month just spot bleeding.
I've been to a homeopath a few times and was given carc. This cured the pain by about 30 percent. At the moment I can't afford to go back.

The pain is so severe I writh around in pain. The pain is not any particular time of day it's just continuously severe. I've tried all the natural remedies but none seem to work.

I'm a Capricorn . High achiever. Intelligent.
I always crave salt, eggs, coffee and potato and cheese. I do not crave sweet things.
I have a mild allergy to processed cheese.
Thanks for reading

You went for a scan and they said cyst the size of an ORANGE?

When was this? What was done about it after the scan?

Why are you not sure you still have one?

Many with cysts on ovaries have a lot of pain -

Please tell about the above.

simone717

Hi thanks for replying.

Yes an orange. It was over a year now. My doctor was simply not interested and told me it was not causing my pain. All they want to do is give me more pain killers and send me away.

Hi- that sounds like very strange medical advice. I have
a friend who got some cysts surgically removed a few years
ago and she feels like a total different person ( they have not
returned)

Where are you from? You need to see a different gyno for sure.

simone717 last decade
I'm from the uk and getting to see an expert is nearly impossible. I'm very scared of hospitals and surgery and would rather cure this naturally. I've seen five different doctors all female and not one helped at all. The honeopath is by far the best and the best result but the result only lasted a few months

Yellow36 last decade
Hi- the medical procedure is to remove the cyst. If you
are afraid to do that then I can see why these doctors
cannot help you, bc that is how they handle it.

And of course med sites say, the cyst and ruptured cysts
cause painful menstruation and pelvic pain-
which is what you are having.

You need to get a scan and see how big the cyst is.
The homeopathy may have palliated you, maybe
the cyst got smaller but not gone?

You have to get this checked and see the results of
what the homeopathy did or did not do. Then get
a different homeopath? or new treatment from the
same homeopath. But you need that SCAN-a current one.

simone717 last decade
Hi thanks.
The doctors never knew I was scared but was never offered the surgery. I was just told that it wasn't causing my pain. But yes I might try and get another scan.
Thanks

I just quickly googled some usa sites with using
cyst the size of an orange. Women on there say
get it REMOVED. this just sounds ridiculous that
you are to go around like this -I don't understand-

But--you should see what the homeopathy did-
something or nothing, or new situation. You could
come on here for treatment, see if you feel better,
and then go for a new scan - you have to have
some way of verifying what is going on.

simone717 last decade
Hi- There was also a lady on here- where remedy was working, then not
working- and she had a scan and had fibroids that were bleeding. That meant
then, that her remedy had to go way up in potency.

So you see why?? the scan is important- get it, start homeopathic treatment,
and then even if better, get another one and see what is actually happening
to VERIFY.

simone717 last decade
Ok thanks. Good advice I'll try to convince my doctor to refer me for one. Thanks

Yellow36 last decade
Do what you have to do to get a couple more scans, I am
sure you can figure out what you have to say-so that
they can back up their scan requests, if you get my drift here.

simone717 last decade
Will do and many thanks for the well needed push

Lol, its the Mom in me-

Write back with scan results!

Hi. The pain comes with the onset of the flow. The flow is quick to start. Bright red. The pain is hard to describe. It is not traditional period cramps in that it's not cramps as in they come and go. It is a constant pain in the pelvis area. It is not pinching nor stabbing. It is more a crushing sensation. It is not a throbbing sensation. It feels a bit like when you have severe diarrhoea and you get the bowell pain and urgency to go but the pain is not in the bowell region. The constant pain extends from hip to hip but does not change sides. It is constantly both sides. The constant ache continues down both legs. It's almost like my muscles are locked open! I also get a pain in my right shoulder blade but only when I have period pain. I hope this helps.
Best regards
Yellow

'The constant ache continues down both legs.'
Does the pain feel like making sort of a line while going thru the legs?

Thanks for the helpful info. You did the description very well.

Many prayers for you.

nawazkhan last decade
Also, please list all remedies at home right now?

nawazkhan last decade
