diverticulitis flare up

i seem to be having a second flare up of diverticular problems. bloated feeling, pain in lower abdomen, windy, jarring pain sore to press. felt flu-ey but no temperature. that seems better now. very tired. i have taken various herbal anti-biotics - aloe and garlic and am resting and taking only liquid.
i have taken nux vom (i only have 30) and tried argent nit.
mainly what i am wondering is
a any suggestions
b does anyone know if it is possible to get this kind of recurrance without there being any real infection - can it just be irritation or inflamation. i am unhappy about taking the kind of strong anti-biotics prescribed for this
hope there is someone out there

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I have never treated Diverticulitis but it occurs to me that Nat Phos 6x can perhaps help you. This remedy accelerates the passage of food through the intestines and it is quite possible that it will help your ailment which is due to food not being completely pushed down the colon.

If you decide to use this remedy the dosage is 2 tablets taken after lunch and dinner and you should know within a few days if is is effective or not. It will help your digestion and reduce excess acidity.

If as you state you experience pain in your lower abdomen which is your colon you can also use Mag Phos 30x. This remedy is only to be used if you experience a cramp and the dose is 2 tablets to be taken as soon as you experience any discomfort.

Please post your response to this therapy in 3 days if you decide to use it as suggested.

when you say you have never treated diverticulitis i think i hve given wrong information as when i check other questions on the site it would appear to be similar to the symptoms i am chasing. i dont actually know that this is a flare up of actual diverticulitis and in fact would be interested to hear if you think that it is possible that it is just diverticular trouble. i have lower abdomen pain, crampy, windy. am able to pass wind. have no temperature although i did have the typical flu like symptoms which have now gone. one of my thoughts at the moment is can you hve this type of symptom without actually have an infection. i am chasing it with liquid diet rest, etc. and any herbal help i can find too.

I would like you to use the remedies that I indicated in my last post and see if they can help you.

It is not possible for me to verify from where I live in Sri Lanka whether or not you do have Diverticulitis or Diverticulosis or any other ailment associated with your gut. This is the reason why I suggested Nat Phos 6x which I believe can help you almost immediately after you take it and certainly within 24 hours together with the Mag Phos 30x which will help to keep any pain associated with a cholic at bay.
