My Father whos 75 yrs complains of sleeplessness,constipation,bloating of stomach,burning urination have fissures and has gas.His Bp is usually around 131/62.Can I expect some help on this ??
Remedy finder has suggested Aloe Socotrina followed by Sulphur.An still clueless abt its dosage,and also wanted to know if the Forum has any other more effective,tried and tested remedy for a problem like that ?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The case needs to be taken properly. The Remedy Finder program is useless for chronic complaints, and because it does not give you the guidelines for choosing, translating and correctly weighting symptoms, it is pretty much useless to anyone who is not already trained in homoeopathy.
We do not have 'tried and tested' remedies for specific named conditions. Our remedies have extensive profiles of symptoms extending through mind, emotions and body which need to be matched to those the patient is showing.
I would suggest that, with your father's help since his perspective is vital when we take symptoms, you list every symptom he has, and expand on them in the following way (as a minimum):
What makes the symptom worse?
What makes it better?
What triggers it?
Do any other symptoms occur together with it (symptoms occur as a cluster)?
Did any event, medication, accident etc. seem to cause the symptom to start (in the beginning)?
What sensations or pains occur with the symptom?
Remember he needs to give this information, as the remedies are often differentiated on fine distinctions only the patient themselves can identify.
Because homoeopathy is a true holistic medicine, any unrelated problems should also be discussed.

Stays awake most of the time at night and day.Feels drowsy throughout the day but doesnt get sleep.
It could probably be because of two reasons one-continous lingering of thoughts
(varied thoughts nothing specific in nature)
two-could also be due to bloating in stomach
and flatulance.
2) What makes it better?
When his bowel is clear and when theres no bloating/distention of stomach and has has a nice sleep.
3) What triggers it ?
Late night dinner,eating gassy stuff and constipation.
4) Do any other symptoms occur together with it
(symptoms occur in cluster) ?
Yes,burning while urinating.Pain in the lumber region and when the bowel isnt clear some giddiness or
imbalance is felt.
5) Did any event,medication,accident etc,seem to cause
the symptoms to start (in the beginning) ?
It could be due to sedentary life style and no routine
and discipline in eating.
6) What sensation or pains occur with the symptoms ?
Distention of stomach is the most uncomfortable,
no easy bowel movement and giddiness.

He says his ears feels blocked and whistling sound in his ears most of the time when the somach is distended and he has had no sleep.

Please give him nux vomica 200 in the morning and evening for 3 days and see how that affects in next few days.
If that doesn't help you may give him Antimonium Crud 200 in the morning and evening for 2 days and see how it goes.
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

My father himself has been reading/following/dosing /suggesting Homeopathy as per Materia Medica by William Boericke had serached for his remedy using 'Remedy Finder' and he says Aloe socotrina and Sulphur which was suggested sounds good to him,and he wants to try them out.But I was a little worried about the dosage part(but he isnt !).He says he'll also have Nux a little later :(...difficult to make him change his mind !
I hope Sulphur doesnt harm him !
(He says his palm/feet and eyes have burning sensation and burning sensation in urination)

He may take only a single dose of Sulphur 200 instead of taking three doses and wait 7-10 days for the response.

This sounds good....he says MORNING is the best time to take Sulphur so tomorrow morning he'd take a dose and I'll report back to you in 10 days.
