Postpartum depression

Hello - I am suffering from postpartum depression. I am irritable have anxiety about both of my children's sleep. I would never hurt my baby, but I have rage when I can't control the situation. I am moody, cry quite a bit and have been very short tempered. My doctor prescribed Zoloft, which I have not taken as I am weary of taking antidepressants. I am also breastfeeding. What can I do? Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hello again. Thanks for the quick reply.

I think you should start treatment with a medicine called Ignatia. Begin with potence 200C. It may be that you need a higher potence later, so it may be practical to purchase both the 200C and 1M.

Once you have these remedies please contact me for an explanation of how to use them.

Regards; Dr.P

Can this affect my breastfeeding infant in any way?

Also, to clarify is this ignacia amara?

Zylbs11 last decade
No, only in a positive way, in that the child receives a calm and rested mother.

I had to special order the dosages and will have them tomorrow afternoon. How should I take it once I have it?

Zylbs11 last decade
Depends if there are pills, tablets, granules, liquid.

Parakletos last decade
Boiron granules

Zylbs11 last decade
Okay, take 10 granules. Pour them into the lid to the container. Into the mouth, let them melt under your tongue before swallowing.
The medication must be taken at least half an hour before or after food. No coffee, caffeine. Or strong stuff, menthol, camphor.
After this wait 3-4 days. Please contact me after this. Or if something special happens.
Please ask if you have any questions.

Thank you dr p. can I still drink my camomile tea? Or roobois tea?

Zylbs11 last decade
Yes, but be careful with chamomile. It's not good to drink too much of this herb.
Importent to take a break for 1 week or 2.

Hey.
How are you doing after Ignatia?

Hi - i am picking it up tomorrow. How long after taking it should I notice a difference? What kind of change am I looking for? I have been feeling a little better in terms of anger, however, I am still very emotional and anxious. I also am crying a lot, although, I always have cried a lot.

Zylbs11 last decade
Very hard to predict when a homeopathic medicine begins to work. You can feel something almost immediately, or it may take a few weeks.
Just follow my instructions. The best time to take the medicine, is in the morning, an hour before meals and tooth brushing. Feel free to rinse your mouth with water before taking homeopathic medicine. Remember, no coffee or caffeine-containing products.

Hello Dr. P - I took the ignatia at 2am when I woke to feed my baby. I'm not sure if it is coincidental but I feel as though I was able to sleep very deeply. I also am noticing that I am clamping down on my teeth very hard and my jaw is a little sore. That's all I've noticed so far. Thanks for your help.

Zylbs11 last decade
Hello.
This sounds like a positive sign, deep sleep.
This with the teeth / jaw can be a temporary thing. Hopefully it will be gone soon.
I hope you continue to give me feedback as you did now, very good. Thank you.

Hello Dr. P -
I would say that in general my mood is better, however, I am still experiencing mood swings and moments where I loose my temper and my first reaction is to yell, though I have held the yelling in. I still cry as a reaction to sadness, anger, frustration sometimes over reacting to the situation. I still feel anxiety, but not nearly as strong as before. My sleep is deeper though not as deep as the first time I took the ignatia. I have had two instances of severe gas pain and one instance of a mild headache affecting the area above my nose in between my eyes. My mouth feels very dry and I am constantly thirsty but I don't like the feeling of drinking anything unless it is a warm tea.

Zylbs11 last decade
I wanted to add, when I loose my temper I have a tight feeling in chest, I supress it, but want to hit and yell and I clench my teeth. deep sighs make me feel better

Zylbs11 last decade
Okay, you should take another dose Ignatia, 200C.
Remember, take note of all changes. Physical and mental / emotional.
