recurring strep throat
Hi my son is four years old. He has had constant strep throat for the past year.I have given him antibiotics prescribed by M.D. Now after a year he has come up with seasonal allergies and has had a hard time breathing so he was hospitalized. In the hospital they told me he is suffering from asthma and is now on Singular medication prescribed by his M.D. I am afraid that all the meds he took for his throat strep caused seasonal allergies and asthma. So, I would like to know if any homeopathic out there could help me and tell me which homeopathic medicine and how much I should use so he shall get rid of his strep throat. and be able to get off his asthma medication.Thanks for your time and please do me a favor and reply if you can help heal my son.

Can you please give the following information in respect of your son.
1.whether he prefers warm surroundings ie whether he likes to be covered or he prefers cold surroundings and open air.
2.whether he has a mild disposition or an irritable diposition. How is his attitude towards his friends and relatives?
3.What other physical problems, if any does he have.
4.At what time he feels better and at what time does he feel worse like in the morning, evening, late night etc.
5.What do you think is the causative factor for starting his problems.
6.How is his thirst for cold drinks, hot drinks and water?
7.How is the bowel movement? Normal, constipated or loose.
8.Whether the child prefers to move around or prefers to keep still.

Please give him three doses of Nux Vomica 200 as follows and see how that affects in next 7 days (only 3 doses in 7 days).
day 1 morning
1st dose
day 1 evening
2nd dose
day 2 morning
3rd dose
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

ATTN:KADWA I ordered the medicine it takes a few days. Meanwhile I read the description of it and my child does not really fit that emotional requirements.

This remedy should antidote the ill effects of antibiotics. So this is the first remedy in the course of treatment.
The Materia Medica gives the state of mind when the patient is in the negative state. It is not necessary that the patient should remain in that state throughout.

Attn:Dr.Kadwa I didn't really understand the e-mail. I just want to make sure before I give him the medicine that if he is not currently in the state of mind that is listed in the Materia Medica is it o.k. to give it to him? I am pretty new to homeopathic so I would also like to know if by giving him this medicine it will not turn him in to that negative state? thanks

ATTN: KADWA I gave my son Nux Vomica in the morning than at night he came up with fever so I wasn't sure if I shall give it to him or not and I didn't. Then the next day he came up with a swollen eyelid which is one of his envoirmental allergies. What shall I do now? So far he only got 1 dose of Nux.

attn:Kadwa Thanks for checking back. He still has a strep throat. But his throat is not red. The M.D. says I can leave it without atibiotic because he is strep carrier. But I would like to know what I can do to cure him from being positive on strep throat cultures all the time. About the Nux Vomica I gave him only one dose. Because then he came up with fever and I didn't know if I shall continue with second dose or not? i was waiting for a reply from you. Please advise and thanks again for your help.

1. Nux Vomica is very well indicated in his case. The fever was created by the remedy as a response and it did good to his overall health.
2. Fever was an independent event and it had nothing to with the dosing of Nux Vomica.
i would suggest that you should give him another dose of Nux Vomica only when he comes up with a throat complaint and see what happens. At this stage let is assume that Nux Vomica creates a response for him in only one dose.
