Staph Infection

I am 32 and as per Dermatologist I had bad staph infection 2 years ago. It was really bad, uncomfortable and emotionally distressing.
My skin had inflammatory conditions such as boils and carbuncles (cluster of boils on thighs)- painful pus filled bumps.
My Dermatologist prescribed me antibiotic (z-pack) and it worked. Also, my dermatologist suggested to use anti bacterial soap -I guess it helped.
But it kept on coming back after every 3 months in lesser proportion. It is almost 2 years I still get some boils here and there, may be after every 2-3 months on average. But I am tired of this mess on my skin which needs attention every now and then. I want to get back to my normal routine ( boils free life)...

I would appreciate if I could find some medication which can help me to avoid those future staph infection.

Looking forward to hear from you..

Thanks

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
As you have had antibiotics you probably now have the MRSA variety.

Wont hurt you but stay away from those with weak immune systems.

Silicea 30c is good to ripen the boils fast .
HEPAR SULPH CALC is effective at bringing the eruptions under control once they have come to a head. Try and obtain the 30c and take on the hour when you have an outbreak until abated.

Look into medcine called SAFI which many recommend here ref. skin infection. One dose per week. It's hard to get hold of unless u in india /s.e asia , but not impossible i expect.

Also work on building your immune system. Vit C 2-4g per day. Zinc (piccolinate) and good multivitamin + essential fatty acids will help v. much.

I know exactly what you mean. I have had the problem off and on for over 5 years. It's horrible. Medication hasn't killed it for me. I have had them everywhere and I have had them very deep, and very big. I don't know a cure (I still have it), but I would love to finally beat this horrible problem.

Dear Kavin.

Is the bacteria still being isolated from your skin, or has this been cleared away?

Also, if you had MRSA you would been told. Staph+anti-biotics does NOT always =MRSA, as stated by someone above, and in fact most mutations of Staph into this resistant form occur only in sterile environments such as hospitals.

Best wishes.
