Crackling Neck , Bulged Disc
Dear Doctors,I am Venkat, male, 23, height.5-8, weight 76 kg
I have been having tight muscles in the neck since last 3 months, I am a student , I sit in front of computer a lot.
Last week I had very tight muscle and I tried to move my neck to and fro a couple of times in order to get rid of tight muscle, I heard of crackling sound and withing few mins the discs became bulged. I could see the bulged disc on the neck from the mirror.
With severe pain I could not move my neck at all, I could not even sleep as-well.
My Physician suggested Tramadol -25mg twice It only gives temporarily relief.
Also I take Nexium -40 daily for GERD
I am really worried as There is a lot of crackling noise involuntary crackling noise as if something is crushing inside. There is crackling noise when I sleep, or even if I touch neck slightly.
My Physician suggested that may be the discs needs hydration. I will contact Orthopedic consultant tomorrow. Painkillers are causing Acidity

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Phosphorus 200 as follows and see how that affects in next 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).
day 1 morning
1st dose
day 1 evening
2nd dose
day 2 morning
3rd dose
One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.
Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 15-20 minutes before or after taking medicine.

90% less crackling sound
Swelling has reduced a bit.
Able to view up and down slowly.
Prevailing Symptoms:
Stiffness, inability to turn left right.
Swelling and pain still prevails.
Intermittent Crackling is felt.

The remedy is acting internally, please report back after one week.
In the meantime you can take one tablet of Yograj Guggulu (an ayurvedic medicine) in the morning and evening after meals.
The tablet should be crushed and swallowed with water.

Thank you for your prompt response, I respect your medication, but I will apologize for not using Ayurvedic Medicine as my Parents Prohibited from using it as my cousin had adverse side effects of Ayurvedic medicines.
Current Condition:

Ayurvedic remedies can be broadly classified on the basis of their constituents into two categories.
1. Pure Herbals like Asavas, Arishtas and Vatis.
2. Bhasmas like survarna bhasma which are derived from heavy metals.
The latter are difficult to manage than the former. You need not take yograj guggulu. i am writing this for the benefit of other readers.

Hello Doctor,
The Crackling sound has again increased, Slightest of body movement is causing sound, and touching the neck is also causing crackling sound again.
It is like crushing of wafer.
I am using Himalaya's Rumaliya Linment which is giving pain relief and helps in reducing swelling but the Crackling sound prevails. Kindly advise.

Pain has gone, able to view left right up and down.
Little scar like swelling persist and bit stiffness.
Side Effect: became energetic and active mentally and physically which is good.
Kindly Advice further
