Synovitis

I am desperate to find a cure for a condition my orthopedic surgeon calls synovitis. I had a total knee replacement October 2010. About 5 or 6 mos. later I started noticing my knee swelling and getting painful. I have tried Naproxen and Diclofenac, as prescribed by my surgeon to try and get rid of the inflammation, but nothing has helped. The knee is still swollen with fluid he says is a result of the synovial membrane being inflamed. I also had a surgery this past December to remove part of the synovial membrane. It did not cure the problem.

Does anyone know of a treatment/cure. I saw on one post on this forum...back in 2005, someone suggested a treatment using three medicines. They were Apis Mel 30, Apocynum C Q 10 drops each 3X a day, with Nat Sulp 6x 4 tab 3X a day. The suggestion was to use this medicine for at least 3 months.

Does anyone know if this is something that works?

I am 51 years old and in great health otherwise.

Thank you, Deanna

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take the remedies as follows in the morning and evening for 10 days and report back...

one dose of arnica 30
after one hour
one dose of rhus tox 30
after one hour
one dose of symphytum 30

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Thank you for the suggestions. I will look into these.

I was wondering about the homeo restrictions you listed at the end of the message. What is wrong with raw onions/garlic? Is this only concerning the meds you suggested? And same with eating or drinking within 30 mins. before or after taking medicine. Is this anytime, or just with the meds you suggested?

Because I take supplements and meds with meals usually.

I also read about Ruta graveolens, would this be effective in my healing?

The strong flavors and odors may antidote homeopathic remedies. Therefore these restrictions are placed on onions and garlic. You should have a gap of atleast one hour between these food items and the remedies if you can't do without that.

Homeopathic remedies should not be taken with meals. There should be a gap of 30 minutes.

Ruta may come later if the above plan fails to give relief.

Thank you, I will try to get these meds in the next few days, and I will keep you updated as to their effectiveness in treating my issues.
