Swelling of broken hand

Last month, my car was hit, totaled, and I had to be cut out of it and was on advanced life support. I am VERY lucky to be alive! I had many injuiries but except for a concussion, no vital organs were damaged.

All of my injuiries are healing well, except my left hand. The doctors put pins in it because of broken metacarpels. My problem is the swelling. The physical therapists want me to try and bend my fingers to free the finger joints and restore finger mobility but I CAN'T. My hand is so swollen that my fingers are like fat little sausages - the joints are not visible and they simply won't bend and it HURTS.
I know that Symphytom (spelling) helps bones to heal but surely there is a remedy to help with this swelling.
THANK YOU!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
This does not sound like a Syphytum situation. In fact it sounds more like you could try Arnica for this. The potency I would use is 200c. Take one dose only, and report the progress after 3 days.

There are a number of remedies for injuries, but the general state of the patient still should match. It might be necessary to look at how the whole of your health is right now, to find a remedy that will suit the swelling of the hand.

Not much change with the arnica. I am getting xrays tomorrow and the surgeon is removing the pins early because of the pain and swelling. THANK YOU.

The removal of the pins greatly reduced the pain. X-rays show proper bone alignment but slow healing. Swelling that limits mobility remains the problem.

Your remedy is Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken thrice daily for a week and twice thereafter.

Follow the instructions to make the Wet dose precisely as prescribed below:

he Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

If Arnica doesn't help, you should take rhus tox 30 and later symphytum 30. There is a need to repeat the remedy in such cases. You may follow Joe's method of dosing. There is no harm in taking 3 remedies daily with a gap of one hour in such conditions.

I would disagree. This is not an emergency there is no need to break the rules of dosage. Choose one remedy and stick with that until it is clear it is or isn't working.

For the first time I agree with David.

Take Arnica 30 in the Wet dose and give it a few days to heal you.

I would go further to advise you to take Arnica 30 in the Wet dose nightly for the rest of your life after you are stabilized, as I have done myself for the last 17 years and have proved at age 83 that it is indeed the Ultimate remedy as it helps in so many ways which I have listed on my website:
