Care After Tattoo Removal

I just had some tattoo's removed. I was give care instructions. Basically to keep it clean at least 3xs a day and put an ointment on it. He also said it was going to blister and I should treat it similar to a burn. Currently I'm taking arnica 30c 3xs a day and was planning on putting arnica cream on it, but I wanted to see if anyone else had any insight to what would be a good protocal?
TIA, Gina

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I doubt that Arnica is the best choice of remedy here. Arnica is for bruising, blunt trauma, blows which result in bleeding and contusions.

If they burned the skin, the remedies that are most indicated would be Causticum, Cantharis, or Urtica urens. When I worked with a performance group who branded themselves on stage, I would treat them uniformly with Urtica urens for the burns and they healed very quickly and easily.

Actually, I was asked to leave that job because in some cases, the branding did not 'take' - ie. the homoeopathy healed them too well leaving no scar behind.

Thank you David, I also thought that arnica wasn't the best, but it's what i had. I have not heard of Urtica, but i'm still 'green' when it comes to homeopathy. Does it come in a cream or pellet form?

Homoeopathy should always be done as a liquid dose. You probably would buy it in pellet, pillule or pill form (not tablet)but you should dissolve it into water. For an acute, you only want to use 30c, and you only want to take a few doses over a few days. It is best to do one dose each day, for no more than 3 days. Dissolve 2 pellets/pillules into 1/4 cup of water (60mls), stir thoroughly and take 1 teaspoon into the mouth. Cover the glass and put it somewhere cool and dark and free of strong odours. Take another teaspoon after stirring for the following 2 days. Stop if for any reason the skin aggravates.

Good to note that other homeopaths too are discovering that the Wet dose is preferred to the Dry Pellets.

I would however advise that the Wet dose is best made with the Liquid Dilution as it is by far more effective than when pellets are used to make it. I use just 3 drops in a 400ml bottle of spring water.

The great advantage of the Wet dose is that it can never cause any aggravation and can safely be used twice daily.

In my case I have used just one capful of the bottle since 1996 nightly, and am a living example of the efficacy of Arnica to keep the aging body in top condition at my advanced age of 83.

I've never heard of the Wet Dose before but, it makes perfect sence!
I just had the procedure done yesterday, he said it would blister but so far it hasn't and the skin just looks to be brusied and sore, so I think I'll stick with the arnica, in addition to picking up some Urtica.
Is there a certain amount of time that I can keep the liquid dilution for, will it go bad? Is it safe to be in plastic, or would glass be better?

FYI I shall copy my default instructions to make the Wet dose.

I would suggest that you get the Liquid Dilution of Arnica 30c to make the Wet dose as it has been found to be far more potent in comparison to the Wet dose made with the dry pellets. I would not however recommend that you put Arnica Cream on your skin as there is the possibility of infection.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in the Liquid pack in Alcohol, also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this enhances the effect of the remedy on the user.

Just don't take more than one remedy at the same time - there can be complications from doing that.
