2yr old needs Tonsils removed, Adnoids removed and tubes inserted in both ears... HELP!

My 2yr old just recently was seen by an ENT specialist, AGAIN, for his sleep issues. He wakes up every night and has since he was born. I thought he had snored a lot or breathing hard, so brought him in again. He has had chronic ear infections, and sick a lot 12-26mos old. He got Whooping cough at 13mos and took about 4mos to get rid of that. He has never had Immunization. This same ENT specialist put tubes in about 9mos ago and now wants to remove it all! I just don't feel right about it. Please help... He is scheduled to have them removed on Friday.

Why do we have Tonsils and adnoids? What happens if removed? Long term? Short term?

THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE GOING ON AS I RESEARCH THE WEB... Let us all help these parents do the right thing for these kids... PLEASE HURRY!

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I forgot to mention that the DR measured his tonsils at a 4. Not sure that that means????

And... He also has rough patches all around the torso area. Little on legs and arms, but mainly both front and back, torso area.

Should I be posting differently on this forum? Are there any professionals out there that can help me? Please?
