Curved Spine in 14 year old boy

I took the whole family to see a reflexologist yesterday and was informed that our 14 year old son has a curve in his spine... the beginning of scoliosis she said. She advised us to take him to see a chiropractor to get it under control but I am hoping there is also a homeopathic remedy that can help him in healing.

Male
Age 14
5'2'
100 lbs
Caucasian, medium skin tone, dark hair, brown eyes, skin tags.
Oldest of 4 children.
Very responsible, trustworthy kid.
Shy, none verbal, doesn't share feelings, doesn't talk to people easily, usually only speaks when asked a question.
Has good grades in school and gets along with everyone.
Loves to play sports but has lacked luster when playing for the last year or more.
Easily emotional, cries easily he doesn't know how to express his feelings (he has been missing dad, or lacks sleep)
Also cries easily from physical pain, very sensitive to pain.
Needs as least 10 hours of sleep at night to be rested.
Needs time in the evening to relax and unwind (he reads for an hours before bed).
Needs routine.. when something is out of his routine he is more emotional.
Used to be a very petite child and slow growing, then grew 4 inches in two months from Oct - Dec 2011.
Very lean and slim.
Has eczema, we keep it under control by not using soaps.
Used to have an allergy to egg white (taken care of using homeopathic.. tuberculilum) but still a little sensitive to it at times.
Favorite foods: pizza, lasagna, cottage cheese perogies.
Dislikes cooked and baked potatoes, dislikes tomatoes.
Used to get flues and infections frequently as a young child but has not been sick since he was 5 years old.
Have not noticed anything wrong with his back until the appointment yesterday.
That is when he mentioned he had been having backaches.
A hump is noticeable on the left upper back (this left rib cage is extending out and to the left).

His hip was also out.. his right was higher than his left, also his left leg was longer by a 1/2 inch or more than the right.
I took him to a chiropractor today and had him adjusted. His toes and ankles were also out of place.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Calcarea Phos 200 as follows and report back after 15 days (only 3 doses in 15 days).

day 1 morning
1st dose

day 1 evening
2nd dose

day 2 morning
3rd dose

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 1 drop in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Thank you so much for your quick reply Kadwa. I have to order the remedy so it will be a few days, up to a week before I can give it to him but will post back when I do and then again after 15 days with the results.

One question, should he still be seeing a chiropractor during this time for adjustments or should we allow the Calcarea Phos 200 to do it's job alone?

Thanks.

i would favor not seeing a chiropractor.

Ok.. we finally got the Calc Phos 200c in liquid form. I gave him one dose this morning. Will give him another dose this evening and then the third dose tomorrow morning.

We have not taken him back to the chiropractor and shall wait and see how the Calc Phos treats him.

It has now been a little more than 14 day since he took the Calc Phos 200c.

His upper spine seems to have stayed in place really nicely. I took him to a chiropractor on Saturday to get checked out so I could report here. He was surprised at how well in place it was (it had been four weeks since last seeing the chiropractor). That means the hump on the left side of his back (left rib cage) is no longer visible.

His lower back is still coming out though putting his hip out, his ankles and his toes. the Right side is higher than the left, the right ankles and toes are out more also.

Can you let us know where to go from here.

Thank you for your advice so far.

It is a deep acting remedy and let us allow it to act internally without further dosing for the time being. Please report after 15 days.

will do. thank-you for your reply.

Ok.

It has been more than another 15 days. It is more or less the same. His back still comes out of place easily. The curve is not as noticeable as before but his hip keeps coming out of place when he does physical activities.

We also noticed that he has white spots under his finger nails and his finger nails are full of ridges.

Please advice as to what we should do next to help him. He is a teenager (14 years old) and loves to do physical activities but right now we are keeping him from joining in gym class in school, playing hockey and other sports with his friends because of this condition.

kadwa,

It has been 25 days since his last dose of Calc Phos. Things are staying about the same. His hip still keeps coming out of place, so does his ankles and toes. His upper back gets knots in them that have to be worked out. He gets tingling in his heels when standing. The hump on the left side of his upper back is not as large as before. We have also been taking him to a chiropractic to be adjusted about once every three weeks.

His eczema on his legs has been coming back in the last couple of months. We used to have very bad eczema patched on his calves that went away 4 years ago when we started homeschooling our kids. At the beginning of March he went back to school and his eczema started to come back. The air is much more moist in our home so I think it is due to the dry air at the school.

He is still growing very quickly. He has grown 6 inches in the last 6 months. I have been giving him calcium/magnesium and cod liver oil supplements (due to the fact that he is weak and we don't drink milk in our house due to milk allergies). I also started giving him a zinc supplement a month ago because he has white marks on his finger nails (he also has horizontal ridges).

Thank for your help.

ontheprairie,

just want to confirm before going ahead, whether you are with me.

kadwa last decade
Yes, Kadwa, I'm with you.

I do not want to offend anyone but I read up on Lac Caninum and I am not sure how it could fit two of our children.. with completely opposite personalities.

Please give him a single dose of Phosphorus 200 and report back after 15 days.

kadwa last decade
Thank you for the reply Kadwa. I have Phosphorus 200 at home so I have given him a dose and will report back in 15 days.
