DEMENTIA
Dementia is a loss of brain function that occurs with certain diseases.
Dementia spoil the brain parts related to memory or brain parts related to locomotion (Parkinson's disease ) or both (Alzheimer's disease)
Alzheimer's disease (AD), is one form of dementia that gradually gets worse over time. It affects memory, thinking, and behavior. Memory impairment, as well as problems with language, decision-making ability, judgment, and personality, are necessary features for the diagnosis.
Memory loss by itself does not mean that a person has dementia. Doctors diagnose dementia only if two or more brain functions - such as memory, language skills, perception, or cognitive skills including reasoning and judgment - are significantly impaired without loss of consciousness.
