I wish to post a quire about my little 9 year old dachshund. She is my little girl.Today I took her for an x-ray as she seemed unwell in her tummy since months. No loose motions but she had a severe urge to eat grass since a long time. Today the x-ray showed her kidney with stones, what was sadder still was the x-ray by chance showed her enlarged heart. The vet prescribed ENVOS for the heart forever and Cystone x 60 days for the kidney stones and also has put her on a diet called HILLS DIET for CALCULI.
Can you help her naturally please?

Hello Dashu.
It may be that there is a connection here, between the different symptoms. Perhaps that kidney stones are the cause of enlargement of the heart. The heart must, over time,been working harder than normal and led to this problem with an enlarged heart.
In my opinion you should start a cure of homeopathic remedies 'Berberis vulgaris.' In potensy 200C, one dose. Later it may be that your Dachshund needs Rhus Toxicondrion( Rhus Tox) 200C for heart problem.
Is it the liquid, put 3-4 drops in a small glass of clean water. If it is granuls, you can take 8-10 such tiny pills in a glass of clean water. Let them stand until they are dissolved. Take one, including both, small spoonful of this water and give to your dog. She must not eat one hour before or after medication. Wait a few days and observe. Please contact me for 4-5 days, or before, if something should happen.

A dose is as follows: A small glass of water, put 4-5 drops in water, stir. Take a small spoon of this mix and give to your dog. Remember that it should be given 1 hour before or 1 hour after meals.
Wait a few days before giving any further, please give me a report first.

I have been treating Dashu for the stone in her kidney but have no idea if any of them have come out. Her stomach seems so distended and I worry as I read it is one of the symptoms of an enlarged heart. She leads a normal life though...but early morning acidity troubles her. My Dashy still seems to have stones in her kidney as she passed blood in her urine.How long can I contnue 'Berberis vulgaris and how.
Also please tell me regarding her enlarged heart and how I can help her with homeopathy. I have not received a reply from Parakletos...he had suggested Rhus Toxicondrion...any one who is experianced can post me advice.

Sorry I have not answered before, but you disappeared in all the mail I get.
It is very difficult to find a medication to a patient who can not tell about their symptoms.
Now you say that she also has blood in urine, the only other remedy I can suggest is Lachesis. This medication is, among other things, for kidney stones on the left side, with bleeding.
You can do the same way as Berberis, the same procedure.

I went for a second opinion for Dashy's stones and got an x ray at another clinic. You'll be shocked to know that the stones are not in the kidney and were never in the kidney... they have been in her bladder and there are 30 to 40 of them.
I am so angry with the earlier Vet as he has just been such an irresponsible person.
Must I continue with the same medication.

Okay, stones in the bladder, but on the left side? Can these have come from the kidneys? What did your vet say about this?
You should stop homeopathic treatment now. It takes a very different medicine, in such a case.
Will the vet do an operation? Or what did he / she have to say about this?

The vet said the stones were never in the kidney...they were always in the bladder...the previous vet made a gross mistake when he misread the earlier X Ray he had done..
The present vet told me that the stones could be due to a metabolism failure...as they are so many in number. He is running tests of her blood and urine. And has said that the stones can be removed only by surgery. So I have to get ready for that.
The vet took her BP and it was recording very high 180/118. And he confirmed her heart was enlarged to an extent. He has given a paste called 'Carni Paste' to strengthen her heart muscles. i give her 1.5ml once a day and shes on a tablet called 'Nephrotec DS' by the Himalayan drug company. And that's twice a day.

One question we should ask ourselves, why she can not get rid of these stones, in a natural way? Could it be a cyst?
Have you noticed if your dog goes to the toilet often, but it is only a little urine?
As I wrote in one of my earlier post, I think that a medicine called Lachesis is indicated.
Can you say something about this with urination?

In fact Dash doesn't frequent the toilet to urinate...in the entire day she passes urine 6 times. As I mentioned earlier she is on 'Hills Urinary Diet CD' and the Dr has also put her on 'Nephrotec DS', an Ayurveda tablet twice daily. It plays the role of a diuretic and the diet increases her water intake.
Yes, in the past she really drank very little water and her urine when it dried up on surface would have shiny crystals like salt. It just did not strike me that something was amiss.

What is the dosage of 'Lachesis' that I must administer to Dashu.
If it is tincture then How many drops and if globules then how many and at what duration.
Thank you very much for the help. I am just very upset out here am so scared of the vets to make big money at the cost of animals. I am fed up of all this. I pray for a miracle as I don't want to put her for surgery.

200C. Not tincture, Lachesis is a snake venom.
Use the same way as last time, but remember that you should give only one dose. Not every day, just once.

My dashy was completely rid of stones after you treated her..and to my shock so many years later I went for a scan for her today and found she has large stones in her kidney and bladder !!!!
She has to undergo surgery for her bladder stones on tuesday.
Kidney stones will be treated over a period of time after they acertain the type of stones.
I tried getting Lachesis but it is not freely available her.
