Have you tried the homeopathic CHILIDONIUM for liver.

It is too bad I do not know what PYOMETRA is. We do not deal with medical names, but symptoms only...SABRA

hi all--someone told me that to help here you need to know more about SYMPTOMS-----here they are---My dog's belly is swollen--her uterus is streched out--like a ballon blown up to much--making the walls thin and dangerously vunerable--she got this in the middle on the bleeding stage of last heat{about two and a half weeks ago}--she has pus in her uterus and fluid in the belly area--but that might be from the liver problem---ALL the veterinarians I took her to said that she will die if not spayed--yet give a very grim chance of her serviving surgery--she right now is happy--in no pain--loves playing with her 6 kitty buddies--sleeps in my bed--has since I got ger one day shy of nine weeks old--loves playing with all her toys--has always been the sweetest dog--kind and loving to one and all--Pyometra is lethal---she is on an antibiotic--but vet said he didn't think it would help--as uterus is in real bad shape and difficult for antibiotics to reach enclosed organ--the holistic vet said she needed nore time to restore the liver before hysteretomy would be safe to do---so between a rock and a hard place---I LOVE MY DOG!---PLEASE HELP!! PLEASE PRAY!!!! Thank ALL of you--I believe in miracles--God can do ANYTHING!!!! ALL suggestions deeply appreciated!! THANKS AGAIN--LoveMyDog

yes--I know--I found this site looking for it--but I've NO idea the dose--nor the danger---anyone know anything about "Tiger Lilly" ???? thx in advance!!

If your dog is fragile, I would reccommend starting with a low potency, such as 6C, three times a day for a couple of days. Leave it for a couple of days and see how your dog responds. If there is a very slight improvement, then try a higher potency, such as 30C.

In those potencies, all homeopathic remedies are safe.

How did you come to consider tiger lilly? Did your vet reccomend it?

1 dose sepia 30c--no repetition

again dietary adjustment needed--
put on raw meat--or best can offer-
and eliminate ALL food containing soy products---no table foods that are not meat---definitely no sugars or breads/pastas--etc

when swelling is reduced--go to calcarea carbonica

I want to thank Katie and John!!!!--I found the tiger lilly remedy in a holistic dog health care book I have--but it said nothing about doses, with food/empty stomach nor times a day. John--the vet said that due to her severe liver disorder-she needs to be on a low protien diet as the liver can't digest that right now--so I'm confused---I was told that the best way to go right now would be liquid protein{non-soy}--but when I went to heath food store today the only one they had only contained about 2-4 amino acids! I have been giving her brown rice and a little boiled chicken mixed in---are EGGS good???? She has a good appetite-but is and has always been a picky eater. the bloating seems a little worse--but on the positive side, she has gained weight in a few short days! Is Golden Seal safe for her--as her uterus walls are thin?? It's excellent for purifing and riding the body of mucus, pus, sinus fluids, lung fluid etc. It's so hard--as a know a holistic doctor very well--but he says that he know nothing about animals. I send all my friends to him--he is great--keeps state of the art in holistic medicine--even had a cure for a friend of mine with Lyme desease. Holistic vets don't seem to know very much! Thank you Katie--REALLY needed to know dosages!!!! Thank you John---main thing right now--how to get pus out of uterus non-surically and strengthen uterin walls---what do I give her for those two accute conditions???? God bless you both----I am SO grateful for your help!! LoveMyDog PS-Sabra; big hugs back from Flicka and her "mommy"!!

if no raw meat-then include
'fish oil' (cod liver or such)..get her outside active as much as possible..also include bones--allow her to bury as will and to redig to chew--this natural

the situation is more indicitive that calc-carb as remedy.

hi all--i forgot to mention the symptoms of the liver condition--the vets did a sonogram expecting to find it enlarged--instead it was shrunken! the specialist who did the sonogram was planning to do a biopsy--but said that it was so far gone there was no point--The other vet said that shrunken liver means that part of the liver is dead and what remains is hard and strawlike instead of being soft and plush. She said that this happened over a long period of time and is usaully seen from alcohol abuse, hepetius{saying that toxic subtances of many kinds can cause it as it was not "canine hepititus"}--she{the holistic vet} said that that is why the weight loss occured as the liver is not able to aid in digestion in the shape its in. The special "rejuvenate the liver diet" dog food is low in protein --but has vegetable proteins. Does anyone know a brand of liquid protein that has ALL the amino acids in it--the one in health food store only had a couple! I called a different holistic vet today and she said that the swollen belly may very well be from the liver illness and not pyometra. ANY and ALL feedback is welcome and DEEPLY appreciated! hello, LOVEMYDOG, i found your posting and could find anything on the success of treating your dog in pyometra.

I'm curently going through the same with my little pek Maddy. I adopted her with so many complications including Cushings. She can't have surgery, the antibiotics didn't work, and now the natural vet I have is not that experienced in this area.

She on so many natural remedies and I don't know if they are the best and what dosages.

In your experience, I'm hoping you can tell me what you ended up doing.

Much thanks,
Teresa
