Kenalog Injections & Weight Gain- How to Reverse It?

Last year, I had gained 10 lbs rapidly and had edema in my ankles and feet. I had been at a loss as to why this occurred with no change to my diet or exercise routine until recently when I realized that at the time I was receiving a certain kind of steroid injection in my scalp called Kenalog for hair loss every two weeks for two months. I phoned my former dermatologist, who obviously was quick to shut down my theory, and insisted that it was virtually impossible. Yet as I search the web, I read TONS of patients complaining about this side effect after having a Kenalog injection. Now that it has been over a a year since my last injection and I have not lost a single pound I am at my wit's end. I follow a very strict and healthy diet and walk up to 3 miles per day as well as go to the gym very regularly.
My question is: Does any one know exactly why this would occur and how one would go about reversing this or ridding my system of the drug? I'm surprised this is still an issue for me. I know now that I will NEVER touch another medication if it's not absolutely necessary.
Thanks!
