what remedies should be avoided in pregnancy?

A friend and I are not in complete agreement on this. Would you consider prescribing silica, thuja, phos, or the like if someone was in the early stages of pregnancy? I'd be interested to hear oppinions. Also any other remedies which you might consider inappropriate. Thanks for reading.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
The indicated remedy in potency 30c and above won't cause any harm if it is not repeated unnecessarily.

No remedy is inappropriate, if it is the right remedy.

Even if the wrong remedy is given, as Kadwa says - careful prescribing will not harm the mother or baby. Our remedies are quite safe when used sensibly.

i will add that carefully and correctly selected remedy will even help mother and baby both. Well chosen remedies won't do any harm they don't cause any complications but to select a proper remedy you have to 'SELECT A PROFESSIONAL(HOMEOPATH)'. And don't go without live meeting with a homeopath during pregnancy at least.

Thanks for all the responses. It has been very interesting to hear different view points on this, and I'm interested in hearing more. Both my friend and I are classical hoomeopaths, but seem to take different stances on this one!

The only time remedies harm a patient...ever...is when they are used inappropriately. Obeying both the Law of the Minimum dose and Law of the Single remedy protects our patients from damage.

I have treated many pregnant women over the years - they have never been harmed nor their babies during treatment. In fact, they were actually quite robust when compared to many other patients - the two mixed vital energies are very powerful.
