Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Acid Reflux | From hahnemann [Log on to view profile] | on 2005-05-27 |

I have been having greenish loose stools (sometimes light-yellowish) after most meals for the last 9 weeks since Mid-March. Some days have been slightly good (homoeopathy helped). Some days there is mild constipation. During meals and after there are noises, rumbling, bubbling in my stomach. For the last 3 days, I have had very severe acid reflux. I stopped dairy (except a little yogurt) 3 weeks back but it has not gotten better. The stools are shreddy, with white specks, mucus? Frequently there is pain in the stomach and stomach is very bloated.
Only once had a meal outside which led to nausea, retching and severe vomiting. All kinds of tests (including all kinds of stool tests) did not show anything whatsoever wrong. So I have been diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Doctors can’t say for sure but think that it is due to anxiety as the colon has spasms. I have a flatulent and delicate constitution and have been under stress over the last few years.
I am not sure what triggered this. But it started soon after 2 painful wisdom tooth extractions. For a week after that, I had chewed food poorly and there were pockets in my mouth where food would remain lodged. Not sure if that led to all of this.
Some additional symptoms: Tongue is white but not always, Sleep is fine, Hunger is slightly reduced, Thirst is normal Wt has gone down about 5 lbs in 2 months. Is currently 114 lbs, 5-4”. Only allergy I know of is face pimples due to chocolate. Cannot stand cold weather.
Remedies tried: Many different homoeopathy medicines were tried with no relief: alumina 30, amm mur 30, ant tart 30, ant crud 30, ars 30, colo 30, arg nit 30, merc sol 30, nux vomica 30, colchicum 30, aloe soc 30, podophylum 30 etc. Also took china30+lyco 30+carbo veg 30 combo for rumbling and gas – helped a little
About a month back, had taken 1 dose merc sol 1M. For a week, all symptoms had disappeared. But symptoms started again, took another dose of merc sol 1M but this time no help.
Pl. advice. |

You probably had antibiotics at the time ofthe tooth extraction. That would be the source of the problem.
Get and take live yoghurt/lactobaccillus.
Cols affecting you points to Psorinum say a dose of 1m and wait 2 weeks to judge result. | | |

Try Podophyllum 30c for long term and Podophyllum 200c for short term for acid reflux and Arnica 30c for loose stools and diarrhea - this should help with the bloating also. Both are a good combination. |
