5 yrs old child

I live in america my 5 and half years old son has delay in speach and his understanding is less then a normal kid.There were few problems during the time when I was pregnant for him.First of all my husband was having the fits he was a psychic patient and and at that time he was having the fits of madness or uncontrolled anger I was basically scared of him he attacked over me several time and he basically tried to kill me too i was stuck and i couldnt go any where secondly I had gestational diabitic and the doctor in america suggested me the glyburide medicine I used it during the pregnancy secondly at the time of birth my gynacologist induced me the pain any how what ever be the reason my son is delay in speach he could only speak few words and sentences although he is getting speach therapy,occupational therapy to increase his fine motor skills and spedial eduation. His understanding is really less then a normal kids plus he has a behaiour problem with any of small thing he cried easily for half an hour or more. I talked to him but failed because he does not understand any thing.although he looks normal he walks 1 year old.i read about stram medicine i gave him 3 tablets of stram 1 m medicine but of no result after 8 days I again gave him the same dose.I gave him the tablets when he was sleeping in the mouth because when he is awake it is impossible to do again after 15 days I dissolved 3 tablets of stram medicine 200c in one tablespoon of spring water and gave him yesterday.IS this the right medicine or no because I havent seen any kind of improvement in him. He is very stubborn kind of fussy boy whose attachement to me is more then a normal kid when he was young he never go near to his father somewhat he hated him and not trusted him he only attached and trust me. I did his psychic evaluation at the age of 3 and half years old at that time he was not talking at all his IQ IS 77 that is less then a normal kid the psychatrist told me that his processing is normall but because of his speach it is low. can any one please help me tell me wether i should give him more stram 200c medicine or not why this medicine has no effect please please help me I love my son a lot
