Throat killing me.Can anyone help?

Could anyone out there advise me. I normally use a local homeopath but she is on holiday at the moment. My throat is extremely sore and ulcerated. More at the top of my throat and tonsils. Symptoms worse in the morning. Excruciating to swallow, white patches around tonsils. Syptoms better for open air and midday. Symtoms start to worsen again around 6-7pm. Very little hunger or thirst. Also sinus infection, can barely taste due to congestion. But throat needs urgent remedy to avoid antibiotics as pain is unbearable. Thanks.

Even though you gave some good symptoms, we do not know you as a person as your regular homeopath does. Here are some choices for you.

BELLADONNA usually has fever.
dry and glazed-red and worse on R. Tonsils enlarged. throat feels constricted-worse from liquids. Sensation of lump-spasms in throat-scraping feeling.

PHYTOLACCA Bluish-red, very sore, hot-burning pain. Uvula enlarged

LACHESIS L to R, worse on L. Dry swollen, dusky-blackish. Worse hot drinks. Mucus sticks. Began on L. Worse swallowing saliva. Tonsils purple. Pain into ear.

LYCOPODIUM White/grey...evening worse, dry. stiches on swallowing. Worse cold drinks. spreads R to L.

Lycopodium is an evening aggrivation and I think this may be a good choice, unless you see some symptoms that better match your needs. I checked some other remedies and these were closest....Sabra

Sorry, take two doses an hour apart, You should notice improvement and then take 4 times a day the first day, and then a dose only as needed...Sabra

I had this exact same problem for a number of years. The problem results from sinus drainage that irritates the throat. Begin nasal wash's on a daily basis. There are many products on the market, or you can simply use warm water with a slight saline solution and alternate taking water in each nostril. There is a wonderful product available that really will help to clear your sinus's, please find the URL to the product below:

After a few days you will be fine if done regularly will not return again.

I have irrigated my sinuses also...but I don't do very well at mixing my own saline...if you don't get the mixture correct it can give the sensation of burning. When needed, I purchase irrigation saline from a local pharmacy at about $2.00 (U.S.) a 100ml bottle. If they try to sell it to you for 20.00+ a bottle that is case price!!! I have also used the nasal adapter with the waterpik that is shown on the web site mentioned in above post (not purchased from that site, though) and it works VERY well.
