I shall copy the therapy I have prescribed to hundreds of patients who presented GERD, the large majority of whom have been cured.

Your remedies are as follows:

Nat Phos 6x dose 3-4 tablets taken immediately after each of 2 meals
Arnica 30c in the Wet dose taken twice daily.

You can expect relief from your ailment hopefully within 24 hours.
Do not eat large meals. Eat small meals but more often if you feel hungry.
It is important that you do not go to bed for at least 2 hours after dinner as food will take about this time to digest and it is best to stay awake and upright to enable your food to digest before going to bed.

No fatty food, alcohol, coffee, preserved meats like sausages, ham, bacon as they contain Saltpeter which will antidote the remedies listed immediately.

If you suffer from a stomach ache or you feel your stomach puffing up before a meal during the day between meals this is usually due to hunger pains, caused by your gastric juices attacking the inner wall of your stomach. The simple remedy is to eat some food like a biscuit or a banana to keep the gastric juice away from digesting the stomach wall when you will experience a stomach ache which in some cases can be very acute.

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull of the bottle or a large teaspoonful which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle twice daily.

Please visit the links below which record the cases of other patients whom I have treated for GERD.

STOP using all other drugs and report progress in a week.

Dear Kak12,

I use to have acid reflux. I took this new supplement called Alkalete and after about 2 weeks of consistently taking it, it went away. Hope this helps. I think the website is refluxkiller dot com.

Regards,
Joe

It is best to ignore the advice given by JoeSmith as he is peddling some remedy Alkalete which is not a Homeopathic Remedy on his website.

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom Parakletos [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-01
My experience is that acid reflux is often related to the emotional. Often the background of trauma, shock or a difficult childhood, difficult conditions in the marriage, job, etc, is relevant.

If you want to treat this disorder homeopathic, we have the whole picture of you, mentally and physically.
Mood, mental, emotional.
If that's what you want so can I or any other classical homeopath look at this case.

The steps that are proposed by Mr. Joe De Livera. Is not a homeopathic approach, but an allopathic, with the use of homeopathic medicines.
He goes directly on the symptom and try using homeopathic remedies to suppress symptoms, while classical homeopathy takes into account the whole you, not just a symptom. What is called holistic therapy.

But it is up to you.

Sincerely; Parakletos, a practitioner of classical homeopathy.

Dr Joe D,

Thanks for your valuable advice I have bought the Natrium phosphoricum 6x (20 g tablets) which I intend to start tonight. I also got Arnica 30 10ml dilution although like to know if there will be any problem if I may take one concentrated drop from this bottle instead of making a wet dose, this will make it more convenient and do able

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-02
To Kak

Please follow the therapy that I have prescribed precisely as indicated in my last post to you if you wish to cure your GERD. I presume that you have visited the websites I gave you in my post.

Your inquiry:
"take one concentrated drop from this bottle instead of making a wet dose, this will make it more convenient and do able" will not help you to be cured.

I do not know the size of the 20g tablets that you refer to and would like to know the dimensions. If there is any indication of dosage on the label this will enable me to indicate how many tablets you should take for a dose.

I notice that you are partial to Coffee:
"it gets worst when I drink Coffee or beer moreover my CHOLESTEROL level is 267"

You will please STOP them both as you have noticed that they aggravate your problem.

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-02
To Parakletos

I would appreciate if you will please desist from interfering with the therapy I have prescribed to my patients which you may like to know is identical to the therapy that I have prescribed to hundreds of others who have been helped to overcome their GERD. As you know I have been spending a great deal of my time during the past few days in defending my Joepathy with David Kempson which I note you have collected to one new thread.

I am not inclined to repeat this same process with you especially now after I have decided to ignore David's attacks as quite frankly I do not have the time to do so. I am not a professional Homeopath as to me Homeopathy is a Hobby to which I am dedicated and which I use in the manner that I have spelt out in my website below which you are invited to visit if you desire further information on my Joepathy. I would like to add that I am not in Homeopathy for any financial reward as to me it is a labour of love.

joedelivera.com

As you perhaps are aware, a complete CURE of GERD is not always possible as this may take some time. In the meanwhile the patient should normally be able to overcome his immediate acute symptoms usually within 24 hours but he will have to take the remedies as prescribed but in a reduced which will depend on the patient's response for some time into the future.

If however I do not succeed in helping this patient in a week you are welcome to take over with your classical therapy which you have described:

"The steps that are proposed by Mr.

Dr Joe De Livera,

Thanks fir your reply I visited all the links u suggested.

These are very small tablets not sure how to give u size of it as nothing mentioned on bottle I am taking three immediately after every meal although I was concern that normally it has been advised that don't eat anything 30 min before taking homeopathic medicines.

Wet dose: as I understood I am going to take a 250 ml water bottle and drop 2 cm water from that then I will put 4 drops of arnica in that remaining water in the bottle then will shake it, will always shake it before the use and only take one table spoon stwice a day, pls confirm

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-02
Please re-read my instructions to make the Wet dose and inform me if your interpretation of my therapy coincides with mine.

You have now understood my therapy correctly.

Report your response in 72 hours or earlier if you notice any difference in your status of GERD.

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-08
Hi Nawaz

Thank you for your suggestion that I add Nat Sulph 6x to my default therapy for GERD which I have prescribed for the last 25 years, Nat Phos 6x and Arnica 30c.

I am aware that other Homeopaths do not prescribe these 2 remedies and prefer to use other classical remedies like Carbo Veg but I have confidence in Nat Phos 6x which accelerates the passage of food from the stomach to the gut and it also helps to reduce weight in the Obese in doing so as the food does not stagnate in the gut which is when it is picked up by the blood supply when the fat accumulates in the body.

The Arnica 30c helps to rebuild the inner lining of the Espohagus which in the case of the majority of patients who are affected by GERD is similar to the lining of the gut which is designed to withstand the acid and enzymes which comprise gastric juice.

As you will note Kak the patient has already reported improvement in his original status:
"As per your proscription if taking the med regularly situation is relatively improved however I am still struggling with gasses, burbs, soft stool and frequent gasses pain in the lower ribs area"

It is possible that he is not taking sufficient tablets of Nat Phos as his gasses etc are due to this factor.
He may also be suffering from hunger pains before a meal which will indicate that the gastric juice is digesting the inner lining of his stomach which is easily fixed by eating often to prevent the hunger pains.

I believe that I have developed a very powerful protocol to treat GERD with these 2 remedies but I would like to inquire if you have used Nat Sulph 6x on GERD patients before and if you know how this remedy can help a case of GERD.

Joe

I shall remember Nat Sulph 6x if a patient does not respond to my default remedies.

Thank you for the information.

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom kak12 [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-08
Dr Joe,

One of my question is yet to be answered

I am taking three tablets immediately after every meal although I am concern that normally it has been advised that don't eat anything 30 min before and after taking homeopathic medicines.

Pls advice if I am doing it correct

Re: Gastroesophageal reflux diseaseFrom Joe De Livera [Log on to view profile] on 2011-03-08
Nat Phos 6x is a remedy that helps to accelerate the digestive process and ensures that the food does not stagnate in the stomach which will result in excess acid secretion. It must be taken immediately after a meal for best effect.

Please not however that remedies in the 'c' potencies like Arnica 30c may only be taken as indicated by you about 30 minutes before food or 2 hours after.
