Strange intestinal problems

Hello, I'm a 33 yr old male. I've suffered from depression for a number of years now. Unfortunately this has caused me to not take the best care of myself. After subsisting on an extremely poor diet for some time and little exercise I started to develop hemorrhoidal symptoms and stomach problems. These conditions shocked me into attempting a recovery, unfortunately now I've begun to suffer from a strange and troubling problem involving pain near/under my left rib cage combined with lower-left intestinal numbness/slight pain and causes me to want to keep my hand pressed against that side of my body constantly. Sometimes the numbness (and possible warmth) seems expand up my abdomen and stomach; other troubling symptoms include intestinal gas, diarrhea, frequent hunger, morning pain situated around said lower-left intestinal area, some urgency to urinate. What can this be? Please, I would appreciate any feed back and suggestions. Thank you much.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
You mentioned that you suffered from depression, could you give details and link it to some event. How it started and how u felt at that time.

Hello again, thanks for your prompt reply. When I said depression, I should really have said anxiety/depression/ocd type symptoms. I suppose I have had bouts of the above described symptoms since childhood, but they became significantly, almost terrifyingly worse once I entered college. Having said as much, I feel the need to clarify further by saying that it was around that time (i.e. when I was in college), that I became a compulsive viewer of lascivious pictures on the internet; an activity which I ultimately realized was contributing greatly to my anxiety and ocd, however I was, to my great despair, unable to really stop this habit until about a month ago, and in great part only because of the health shock I experienced recently caused by the above mentioned recent stomach and intestinal complaints.

You said that you had depression from childhood, try to eleborate it, what were the causes, how was your relation with your parents and your sisters and brothers.

How was your home atmosphere and relation of your parents?

Other past illness history except for depression and stomach problems you mentioned and how it was treated?

Thanks for your reply Mani, my depression was brought about by the early darkness and cold typical of the winters where I lived and also by a hypocondriacal fear I developed after once coming down with a strong fever, my mother took me to the doctor to receive a shot for the fever, following this I became depressively afraid that either the fever had not been cured or that the shot to counter the fever had caused me to be sick in a new and more dangerous way.

My parents were more anxiety producing than comforting. I had a good relationship with my brother, who is two years younger than me. The family atmosphere was gloomy, owing mostly to my mother's temperament. Up until recently I never suffered from health complaints, with the exception of very infrequent cases of asthma and nasal/bronchial allergies to dust/pollen etc..., also likely food allergies to gluten and bovine lactose. Thank you for your response.

Because of social phobia I am not desirous of public speaking or attention. By nature gregarious, by circumstance and experience cautious and philosophical, with a fatalistic bent. Please describe for what problem did you use Sulphar?

You mentioned that you are experiencing some proving, please indicate what are the symtoms that you suspect developed since the use of Sulphur.

mani_jee last decade
I took sulphar for hemorrhoidal symptoms and stomach/intestinal complaints and as general tonic.

Possible effect of sulphar was feeling of progressive numbness and increasing strange, though not painful, sensation emanating from area of localized pain in lower left gi tract. Inadvisedly took one pill of ashwagandha while experiencing symptoms at night, by early next morning felt weak, feverish, with generalized muscle soreness, but these symptoms gradually subsided by midday.

OK take conium 200 to antidote sulphur ill effects. Please take only one dose and don't repeat. Report after 3 days.

Ok, will follow prescription. Thanks once again.
