attn: dr. joe, reg nat phos 6x

Hey Dr. Joe,
I have a 6 weeks old baby. she is currently facing reflux problem.
She is spitting 3-4 times after every feeding since last two days.(she is on breastmilk only).
I have heard several good things about Nat Phos 6X in such cases.
On the other hand I have also read that it is used for weight loss.
Can you please confirm that I can give Nat Phos 6X to my 6 weeks old baby, also please let me know the dose.
I saw Nat Phos 6X on amazon with the name Hylands Natrum Phos, is this Ok.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Since your baby is only 6 weeks old and is being breast fed, I would prefer to have you take 2 tablets of Nat Phos 6x thrice daily and report how your baby responds with her reflux problem.

It will also help with reducing your weight.

Many babies have responded positively. If she does not you can dissolve half a tablet and give it to her whenever she complains.

Hylands is OK.

Hey Dr Joe,
My wife took 2 tabs thrice daily since the day you advised and my baby did show some relief. But since yesterday my baby has started vomiting the milk. She vomited once yesterday and twice today. Yesterday we gave her half tablet twice.
Please suggest.

You can give her half tablet dissolved in milk after a feed or if she shows some problem and report progress.

A maximum of 3 doses per day is recommended.

Dr Joe, I just wanted to update you with whats going on with my baby's reflux problem. The reflux hasn't gone but yes it has reduced a bit because of NatPhos. I would say she still has 60% of the reflux when compared to what it was before trying Natphos.
Recently she has lost her appetite. As soon as she comes for breastfeeding she would start crying on top of her pitch. She wouldn't take the milk and will keep on crying. Irony is that she takes the milk if she is sleepy, but that too for just 5 mins. She is just 10 weeks and is not teething.
Could it be that she has associated her reflux pain with feeding and that is why she is not interested in taking milk?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I presume that your Baby is breast fed and that her reflux is better with the Nat Phos 6x of which you are giving her half tablet after a feed.

You can add Nux Vomica 30c in the Wet dose which is made as follows:

The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:

Order the Nux Vomica 30c in the Dry pellets.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 6 pellets into the bottle and shake the bottle hard at least 6 times before you give her 10 drops or about quarter teaspoonful of this remedy water from the bottle not over 3 times daily and report results.

If you are giving her Formula you can use another brand. You can also try feeding her more often even if she has only a little instead of waiting for her to cry for a feed.

At 10 weeks she is not teething as this usually starts at around 6 months +.
