bedwetting problem with 8 yr old son

Hello,

I need help with my 8 yr old son who has sever bed-wetting problem. He needs to be woken up every 2 hours to prevent wetting his bed. If I get late in any of the intervals, the bed is wet. He does not even feel the wet bed and still does not get up. I have to practically walk him to the toilet as he does not wake up. Most of the times, he is so sleepy that he will fall down if I leave him. The quantity of urine is mostly not much. The problem is more aggravated in winters and rains.

During the day he is perfectly OK and does not sleep in the day.

This problem has been continuing since his birth although his younger brother has never had an accident since he was 18 months.

He is a very introvert kind of child and is also often very jealous of his younger brother who is more extrovert and even better in acads. On the other hand, he does not concentrate on his work and is very slow in everything.I cannot motivate him to do his work as he does not get excited with anything I may want to offer to him. I have also tried scolding him and that also has no affect. He does not like anything and does not fear anything. Harder scolding only leads to him slapping himself continuously. Although we always are more concerned for him and always praise him more etc but he seems to have an acute inferiority complex.

He also has a problem of bad breath and a cavity. In food he eats anything we give him but we need to feed him and he will not eat food himself. By himself he will only eat cucumber salad with lots of salt and leamon and that he will not let anyone even have a single piece.

Please help me as this is becoming a great problem and my wife had been suggesting consulting a psychiatrist for him.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Just forgot to add that he does not even play any games. Mostly likes to wander slowly and alone in the park or sit and gaze at the wall.

Sorry for the late response, I had to go on travel and it took me time to arrange the medicine.

I had followed the medicine and instructions.Listed below are the changes I observed.

My son is a little more interactive and happy now. He however still needs a lot of pushing to get any work done. On the bedwetting front, his bedwetting has increased much more than earlier. I am not able to keep him dry even for 1.5 hours. Please help esp. with the bedwetting as I have to keep up all night to keep wim dry.

Please give him a single dose of Lachesis 200 (only once, not daily) and report back after 10 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 2 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 2 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Hello,

I had given him Lachesis 200 on 12-03 morning and then for 2 days there was no visible change.

From 15th onwards, his frequency of urination in the night got reduced esp towards the morning. However I am not sure if this is due to weather change or the medicine. Now his typical night schedule is that he sleeps around 10 to 10:30. I wake him at 12 else by 12:15 - 12:30 he is wet. Then I wake him at 2:00 else by 2:30 he is wet. Next I wake him at 5:00 else by 5:30 he is wet. He finally gets up at 7:00.

Apart from this, there has been some improvement in his behavior. He is showing much better interest in a few games like he has started playing cricket with his younger brother. He wishes everyone in the morning and evening. But still he is not able to handle the least of failures. If anyone does anything better than him then he just cant tolerate and throws off everything, starts crying and beating people. Also he is very scared of dogs and in the night before going to bed, he cannot be left alone in the room even for a minute. He does not have any friends and keeps alone even when someone tries to befriend him.

Since the kids now have a holiday, I have started taking the kids for jogging in the morning. But he will jog only if he is in the front and if his brother overtakes him, he will not jog. If I encourage him to compete, then he will not try and if I push him more then he will start crying and will say that from tomorrow, I am not going to come. He will say that the brother cheats etc.

Please help me what I need to do.
