Some people are trying to make HOMEOPATHY and other alternative treatments extinct in comparison to allopathy which may be rapid but has some serious side effects, Yoga too was sidelined and was nearly disappearing when Swami Ramdev introduced it back and with other celebs bollywood or hollywood vouch about its effect. I can vouch Homeopathy is 100 times safer, better and time tested than any other form of modern medicine.

MUMBAI: Six months after the British Medical Association rubbished homeopathy as witchcraft with no scientific basis, IIT scientists have said the sweet white pills work on the principle of nanotechnology.
Homeopathic pills containing naturally occurring metals such as gold, copper and iron retain their potency even when diluted to a nanometre or one-billionth of a metre, states the IIT-Bombay research published in the latest issue of 'Homeopathy', a peer-reviewed journal from reputed medical publishing firm Elsevier.
IIT-B's chemical engineering department bought homeopathic pills from neighbourhood shops, prepared highly diluted solutions and checked these under powerful electron microscopes to find nanoparticles of the original metal.
''Certain highly diluted homeopathic remedies made from metals still contain measurable amounts of the starting material,
even at extreme dilutions of 1 part in 10 raised to 400 parts (200C),'' said Dr Jayesh Bellare from the scientific team.
His student, Prashant Chikramane, presented the homeopathy paper titled, 'Extreme homeopathic dilutions retain starting materials: A nanoparticulate perspective', as part of his doctoral thesis.
'Homeopathy has been a conundrum for modern medicine. Its practitioners maintained that homeopathic pills got more potent on dilution, but they could never explain the mechanism scientifically enough for the modern scientists,'' said Bellare.

The research here shows the dilution theory rather than efficacy of homeopathic treatment. Honestly speaking homeopathy is a time tested system of medicine and have proven its might undettered. Homeopaths through out the world prove its efficacy every day out and day in. Each Homeopathically cured Indivisual patient is the testimony of its cure initself.

I agree with mazharmhm in saying that this experiment doesn't have much to say about how homeopathy works or even homeopathy works at all.
This is merely a point about dilution theory and if molecules of the original substance exist beyond certain dilutions. Perhaps from now on homeopaths have to be cautious when they say beyond a point there won't be any material molecule and may have to say that there may be nano molecules of the original material even in higher potencies :)
But this experiment may be perfected as a technique to help in rightly identifying the different remedies once they are made into high potencies.
