Sepia for perimenopause mood swings

I have been researching natural remedies for perimenopause symptoms and discovered that I am a classic Sepia-type...and my most problematic symptoms are irritability, mood swings, and bouts of sadness. Currently, these are most severe right before and during my period - but it is very drastic in comparison to the PMS symptoms I have had all of my life. I just turned 43 a couple of weeks ago - am sure I have had perimenopausal symptoms for a few years, but they are getting worse since going off the pill....which I was on for 6 or 7 years only to regulate moods and acne that was out of control after the birth of my youngest (I have 3) child. I went off the pill about 6 months ago, and do not have acne trouble but have drastic mood swings. I am convinced sepia is right for me, but am confused about the dosage and frequency of use.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Based on what you describe Sepia is a good idea. You may start with Sepia 30c. Put one pellet into a container of approx. 10oz of filtered water, drink one tablespoon, and tell us how you feel after a day or two.

Hmm..the thing is Sepia, although a major remedy for these menopause related problems is far from being the exclusive remedy for these ailments. A lot of other factors should be taken into account to find if Sepia is the correct choice.

I agree that there could be other remedies, but problems that begin after childbirth is a good indicator for Sep.

Thank you for the feedback...if I do try a dose, as you described, I would do this anytime - not just prior to or during my period (when symptoms are at their worst)??? Sepia is a longer term remedy, not just an alleviator of symptoms, correct? I guess I am more confused about how homeopathic remedies work than I am about sepia, in particular. Thanks again for your help!

Sepia, if correct will gradually cure your symptoms over many months, or possibly years of use.

This is a test dose to see if Sepia is correct for you.
