Lingering Cold

My cold began a few weeks ago at the change of weather from warm/hot to cold. It began with a hot dry throat, hot, dry nose, sneezing, progressing to a very itchy nose, slightly runny nose (clear),a feeling of phlegm stuck to back of throat esp in morning and for an hour or so after. Hoarseness, reluctance to speak. Constantly clearing throat.

After that it moved to my chest and I began coughing. Difficult to expectorate. when I tried to I would gag and almost vomit. Anything expectorated was thick, yellow and sticky, sometimes greenish or slightly brown towards end.Sometimes streaks of blood after blowing nose. Then the cold began to abate with return of warm weather.

Now weather cold again for 3 days and cold has returned, with symptoms right back at beginning. Hot, dry throat, sneezing, itchy nose, slightly hoarse, and in morning yellow/brown phlegm stuck to back of throat that makes me gag.

Also broken out in acne mainly on jaw but some on temples, cheeks. I'm 40 (female) and have always had a predisposition to acne but kept it in check with Vitex Agnus Castus (herbal tincture). But I can elaborate more on this in another post if you prefer. I'm not sure they're connected.

Poor state of mind, due to chronic marriage problems. Shock/depression in past week from losing a lot of money and stress of impending Christmas. Always anxious, writing lists, overwhelmed, want everything to be clean and tidy, always feel house and myself is dirty, unclean.

Fats and wheat are two foods I have identified cause problems for me but I seem unable to stop eating them.

Have prescribed myself Ars Alb tonight, while waiting for a reply. Dissolved two pellets in water and will take a tsp.

Thank You!

Camillia,
How is ur mental setup / mood when you are ill or in distress?
What do you do when you r not well (rest/ restless / watch TV / go for a walk?)

Dr Yogesh,

I have two young children so rarely indulge my wishes when ill, unless bed ridden. For this complaint, which is minor, the mental/amotional doesn't seem to be that marked.

I'm a little irritable-feel reluctant to do anything for anyone. Want to shirk responsibilities but don't. Complain to anyone who will listen. Want sympathy but feel I rarely get it. Always seems to be another saying they feel sick too. Tell children to stop asking me constant questions, making demands of me. Want to lie down with a book, in bed. But mind too full of my to-do list. Guilt at not doing what I should be getting done.

When very sick, eg with flu, I will lie down all day and read or watch TV. Want people in house as I get fearful and think this might be something I'm dying of, somthing much more serious. Get occasional panic attacks from thoughts. But also want peace and quiet and not to be asked to do anything.

Want lots of sympathy, hugs, to be asked if there's anything I need and get bitter (mentally) because I don't get this attention. But if I do get it I want to do it myself anyway. I'm controlling and it has to be done my way. Will get up when sick and do dishes and make food for others then go back to bed enraged at the injustice of it.

Always mentally overwhelmed, even when not sick. Carry around a heck of a lot of negative thoughts about husband and my own pathetic uselessness..

Camillia,
Take IGNITIA 30C single dose.
SINGLE DOSE: 3-5 drops of ignitia 30 C dilution in 15-20 ml of water.
This is to be taken in the morning on empty stomach.
Dont repeat. WAIT for atleast 3 days.
This dose will help you overall, all ur complaints of cough cold will resolve slowly but surely.
Regards,
Dr. Yogesh.
