Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP)
My father have Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) problem since 1999, Allopathic doctor give him Pednisolone-60 mg for 2 year. In 2001 the platelet count became normal. Now in Aug 2010, he suffered from typhoid fever, their after his platelet count reduced to 36000. From 1-9-2010 Dr again give him Pednisolone -60 OD. But it not work than they give him antibiotic it increase 24000 to 1,23,000 in 3 days only. Again it drop. Dr again give him antibiotic paletlet again increase and than decreas. Now they give him Pednisolone - 60mg per day danazol-200mg per day. But it not work please suggest me some advise. Doctor said it is Auto Immune diseases, in which own body immune system produced antibodies which damage Plateletsgurninderbhalla on 2010-10-28
