Urgent help migraine

Hi,

My sister has a migraine and I cannot figure out which remedy would help. It started last Friday, she was out all day in a dry windy cold and got a chill. Saturday morning she could feel tension behind her eyes. We got a email saying that our favorite store had a 50% off sale for one day. It took an hour to get there, traffic was bad and we were all stressed because we didn't have a lot of time and had to get back quickly. The store had fluorescent lighting which aggravated her eyes and by now were looking quite red. she didn't end up wanting to look at anything and when we got back to the car it started coming on quite a bit quicker. We thought water would help but it didn't. We got a little farther driving and had to stop. By this time she was crying and described the pain as a train going through her head. Pain was only in her eyes and between her shoulder blades. She felt better with cold application. She rested a while and then we tried going a little further. She had to stop again. This time she wasn't able to drive again. Couldn't bear light, noise, could drink warm drinks, preferred water. My husband came to our rescue.. she moaned if the car jerked or if we went over a bump. Once we got home she went right to bed in a dark room and slept in bits through the night. By morning the pain was dull but still there. She however couldn't stand staying in bed and being idle so all Sunday she was outside doing gardening and many other productive things, like cleaning. She said it was therapeutic. Yesterday we were out most of the day and the cold air, she still felt the dull pain and didn't want to drive anywhere afterwards. She did more gardening and went to sleep. This morning she woke up looking horrible. I had been using the computer in her room and left the heater on since I love heat.. but forgot to turn it back down. She hates heat, likes open windows. It brought her migraine back on with pain again in her shoulder blades and back of neck and dull pain right in the eyes she says. What would help?!?

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
I should also mention, the cold firm pressure on the eyes helped.

I should also mention that since she cannot stand being idle, she takes pain killers and keeps on going. She is doing it again today. Looks horrible, pale, gets pimples that are watery on neck and the side of face. She is antsy, and makes quick decisions. She is scared of not appearing feminine enough and does everything to appear that way. Has a hard time committing and therefore will not take on a permanent job. Says: 'It is my nature to be productive, I have to unless I want to go in to deep depression.'
