Pilonidal Cyst

I wanted to know if anyone knows anything about Pilonidal cysts and if there are remedies one can use to heal them?
I have a cyst and have had it for five years now, it was surgically removed but it came back and I have had it with the pain and I am ready to try anything else, except for surgery and more antibiotics. Somebody please help me.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
what is the stage of the abscess now?

Is the pus still oozing?
In the discharge is there any blood?
Is the pain troublesome?
Has your Surgeon seen it in the last few weeks and has ruled out Fistula in ano?
Do you suffer from any other ailment, Diabetes mellitus etc.?
How is your appetite, thrist, urination, bowel movement, perspiration, sleep etc.?

With the above symptoms a proper remedy can be suggested.

Hi Doctor,
Right now it started oozing pus last night after being dry for the past four days.
Is the pus still oozing?
The pus is oozing I put a gauze dressing and a band-aid.

In the discharge is there any blood?
Yes there is some blood in the discharge.

Is the pain troublesome?
yes it is I usually can't sit for long periods.

Has your Surgeon seen it in the last few weeks and has ruled out Fistula in ano?
No, my surgeon hasn't seen it in the last three years because my insuarance ran out, I have no health insuarance and cannot cover the medical costs anymore, I haven't been to a doctor in a while.

Do you suffer from any other ailment, Diabetes mellitus etc.?
No, I do not suffer from any form of Diabetes, but I do have allergies.

How is your appetite, thrist, urination, bowel movement, perspiration, sleep etc.?
My appetite is okay, I just don't eat as healthy as I should. I try to drink as much water as I can at least one bottle of water and I drink juice ie. Orange juice, fruit punch, gatorade, lemonade, no sodas. and I do not drink alcohol at all.
My urination is fine, I get constipation sometimes, I don't perspire much since it is winter and I get enough sleep.

I have been getting headaches and Nausea the past few days but I believe that was because of the constipation, so I have been drinking water and gatorade plus eating prunes and trying to incorporate fruits and vegetables in my diet.

Any help you can impart, will be appreciated.

With the above symptoms a proper remedy can be suggested.

HEPAR SULPH 200 six pills four times a day along MYRISTICA mother tincture and ECHINACEA mother tincture ten drops each in a cup of water morning and bedtime for ten days would help in clearing out the pus and later we can follow up with suitable remedy at that point of time.

Greetings,

In my case nothing is oozing currently. Back when it was pretty inflamed it did discharge some blood and something that when dried was kinda yellow. The dr I saw earlier in the week said it was pilondal. I do not suffer from anything else.

Appetite, thirst, urination, bowel movement, etc. are all normal for me.

As of late I have been taking a multi vitamin and an additional 500mg of vitamin c every other day. I have also been putting neosporin on the main part at the top before i go to sleep.

Because of my schedule for the next several months, I can't really afford to look into surgery. Therefore I thought I would try a homeopathy treatment.

I have never had anything professionally done to it. It had flared up in mid to late july and drained itself. Since I have been putting neosporin on it, it remains looking about the same... it doesn't flare up, nor does it go away. The pain was pretty bad in july, but now since i've been using the neosporin, it only hurt if i were to poke at it.

Dear Mr.Pankaj Varma,
Thanks for the greetings and wish you the same.
I take your suggestion positively.
In this particular case the person has posted under various headings about many ailments he is suffering from and any suggestion to him under one heading would be of no use to him. That is the only reason why under this post my response is not there.
It would be a pleasure to keep in touch with you.
Sincerely,
Dr.Venugopal Gouri.

In addition to the treatment suggested by Dr. Venugopal, which to my mind will be effective......the person can also take Calcarea Sulf. 6x four times a day.

This one is more like a tonic
(it is a bio-chemic med) specially effective in drying out the pus from any part of the body.

have seen it work in the case of Pilonidal Sinus as well.

Best,
Pankaj Varma

Dr.Venugopal Gouri,

Thank you for the information you have provided about using Hepar Sulph for treating the Pilonidal Cyst condition. I too suffer from this problem, however my cyst does not drain on its own. Once every couple of years my Pilonidal Cyst feels tender and progressively begins to swell as the infection increases. The only way to relieve it so far is to have it surgically lanced. Of course I would like to avoid this if possible, so my question is:

Will the treatments mentioned aboved be usefull for "closed" cysts, or ones that dont drain. Your help will be very much appreciated.

mdcarter1 last decade
If the cysts do not drain and your Surgeon can appreciate a lot of pus in it, HEPAR SULPH in higher potencies like IM and later 10M can be used to help the cyst drain out. But if you are feeling that the cyst is just begining to form and if there is not much of pus, MERCURUIS SOLUBILIS 200c can be used which will help in aborting the formation and help in resorption internally.
Dr.Venugopal Gouri.

Are the cures listed above to make the cyst go away or just provide relief. I have been following as directed for a week, and it has dried significantly, but not completely. What would be the next step to cure?
