Age - 40 years, female teacher. Teaching since 15 years.
I've been diagonesed with posterior marginal osteophytosis in c5-c6 vertebra with reduction in C5-C6 disc space.
The MRI further suggests - a. Reversal of normal curvature of cervical spine
b. Coarse interior marginal osteophytes at multiple levels.
c. Prominent posterior Osteophyte at L5 level
d. Vertebral bodies are O.W. normal in shape and size outline alignment and signal characteristic.
e. De generative changes in inter vertebral change noted
f. C5-C6 discs shows broad based posterior disc bulge indenting the ventral thecal sac narrowing bilateral neural for foramina causing mild compressing effect over existing verve route bilaterllay

Symptoms - Vertigo and vomiting in initial stage.
Vertigo still persists mildly specially when getting up & lying down.

Before the occurrence of above symptoms a Pain started in left upper limb since Feb 2010 which got relief with physiotherapy bt still persisted mildly. It was then followed with similar pain in the right upper limb. this was then followed by what was termed as a cervical attack on morning of 10 aug 2010. and diagnosed as cer. spondy. for which I'm on allopathic to esp. control vertigo.

A homeopathic treatment of Coculus 30 & Cimisifuga 30 was given but did not help.

No other negativity except continued mental depression and last month mensus which lasted for long time - 15 days but diognsed normal.

To Jaikabra and Gudiasee

You have contacted me by email and have posted her ailment on this forum.

I regret to inform you that there is no therapy that is available in Homeopathy as her problem is due either to an accident or the natural process of aging when certain degenerative changes have occurred in her spinal column which have been identified by your doctors.

The therapy that is recommended is surgery and a Lumbar Laminectomy can be carried out to relieve the pressure on the nerves which have resulted in the pain that she experiences with the vomiting and vertigo.

I would recommend that the patient consults a Neuro Surgeon and that surgery is carried out ASAP as this condition will progressively get worse when the patient will experience acute pain which cannot be treated by even the most powerful analgesics.

I would like to add that this surgery is not at all dangerous and the patient will be discharged in 2 or 3 days when all the symptoms will disappear except for the pain associated with the incision.

It is important however that the Neuro surgeon should have specialized in this surgery.

You can view the surgery on:
