31 year old mail throat infections.
Hi after some advice on a suitable remedy for my husband, he's 31 5.10 slim build, athletic build, a happy easy going male very postive, non worrying, no real big health problems, had no operations, his complaint being an increase in throat infections over the last 3 years, he was diagnosed with a throat infection 2 weeks ago given penicilin for 7 days, I have put him on a 1000c vitamin c, to try and boost his immune system, after taking the course of antibiotics, 5 days later its back again, it started on the right side and has moved to his left side, no visible ulseration, or blistering, looks red, swallowing being hard, he's marked it today as a 3/5 for pain, better for heat, glands in his neck up a little, and he complained they were sensitive to touch, talking very difficult, not off his food but again very hard to swallow,I dont want him to go back on more antibiotics and would like to try and help homeopathicly, to note he has the cold sore virus, he doesn't have one at the moment, and also often these throat infections occur with a personal stress, he handed his notice in from work as an electrician and has started on his own, so has been working longer days, he had a throat infection the last time he started a job, happy to answer any questions, hope someone can help, thanks stella.triple on 2010-08-01

You can give him Bryonia 200 in the Wet dose made precisely as indicated below. This remedy is best used as a gargle twice daily and the contents is swallowed after a few minutes. This therapy may not be used for over a week and should be kept in reserve to be used whenever he finds that his throat is heavy with phlegm which is usually a sign of a virus infection coming on.
He can also gargle with a solution of Salt water twice daily after he stops the Bryonia gargle.
He can also take Arnica 30 in the Wet dose twice daily for a few months to help build up his resistance to infection and other ailments.
He can also take just ONE dose of Bacillinum 200 in the dry pellets. He can take 6 pellets sublingually. Do not repeat this remedy but a booster dose can be taken in a month.
He will STOP all other drugs and medication when on my therapy.
The Wet dose of any Homeopathic remedy is made as follows:
Order the remedy in a 5ml Ethanol pack also referred to as Liquid Dilution in a bottle preferably with a dropper arrangement.
Get a 500ml bottle of Spring Water from the nearest supermarket.
Pour out about 3cm of water from the bottle to leave some airspace.
Insert 3 drops of the remedy into the bottle and shake the bottle hard before you sip a capfull which is the dose.
Shaking the bottle hard is homeopathic succussion and this shaking must be done every time before sipping a capful of the bottle which can be used as a dose.
I cannot fail to mention here that I cannot understand the reason why the patient does not post his ailment instead of depending on his wife to do so.

thanks will need to keep reading the instructions as find all the info a little confusing, but worth trying, he does not depend on his wife, simply he is resting in bed, we have 5 year old triplets and a 8 year old, so when they are quiet I feel its a good time to spend a minute asking for help, I see a homeopath sadly we cant afford for my husband to go, and as he is normally well I think this is the best way to ask for help, thanks stella.

Hi felt a little hopeless today as had non of the remedies needed gave him 30c bryonia, in a water bottle, to see if that helped as if I order tomorrow Monday from a company they wont arrive until Wednesday , I have some arnica but again not a wet dose, have some tissue salts ferum phos, stabbing in the dark really, hes not had a good day, looks very tired, spoke very little think it must be to painfull, and advice on any remedies while waiting would be helpfull thanks stella

Bryonia 30c will not help him. Await the 200c.
You can make the Arnica Wet dose if you have the 30c in the little pellets. Use 5 pellets in 500ml water.
Use your Ferr Phos 6x or any other x you may have.
Drink plenty of water.
