Help with dosing

Hi. I've been told by a former naturopath that I'm a pulsatilla type. Over the years I've used pulsatilla 30c for various afflictions only to have them return. Can anyone suggest how to dose with 200c?
My main concern is ongoing depression that doesn't respond to antidepressants. The depression is worse with PMS.
Thank you for any suggestions.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
Please take three doses of Pulsatilla 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and see how it affects you in the next 15 days.

One dose means
If the medicine is in pills form 4 pills. Don't touch pills with hand. Use cap of bottle to take pills.
If the medicine is in liquid dilution form, 3-4 drops in some 20 ml water. Sip up slowly.

Thank you for the prompt response, Kadwa. What would happen if I took it longer? I tried this before (2-3 pellets 2 x's a day for 3-4 days while experiencing PMS and noticed that I was feeling better in some ways, but more angry, biting my nails, etc. Should I still continue with your suggestion?
Thanks so much! I am anxious to be rid of the underlying depression I've lived with so long.

There is no point in taking homeo remedies like allopathic medicines. Homeo remedy is a stimulation to vital force. One should take only that much doses which are sufficient to stimulate vital force. If 200c potency is working for a short time only, you may take a single dose of Pulsatilla 1M. This should be taken only once and the response should be noted for the next 20-30 days.

We can also verify if Puls is your remedy if you could provide more details. Please copy the Questionnaire from the following thread
http://www.abchomeopathy.com/forum2.php/188925/
and post all the questions here duly answered. On that basis your remedy may be worked out.

Thank you, Kadwa. I tried a few does of the pulsatilla 200c and feel angry, dissatisfied with life and have bitten my nails down to nothing. Should I wait for remedy to stimulate vital force, as you say?
Here is the questionnaire. Thank you for your guidance.

Depression, discouragement.

4. What exactly do you feel when you are at your worst?
*Before period.

5. When did it all start? Can you connect it to any past event or disease?

*Not being good enough. Abandonment.

It seems to me that your remedy is Sepia. It is not good to take Sepia after Puls as it is given in the Materia Medica that these two are inimical (eventhough the remedies relationship table says that sepia can follow puls). But we would go for the the safe option. i would advise you to wait if you are feeling better. If you think that you need to do something and can't just wait, please take a single dose of Nux Vomica 30c. After taking nux on the next day please take three doses of Sepia 200c at a gap of 4 hours for only one day (not daily) and report back after 15 days.

Please follow homeo restrictions like no coffee, no raw onion/garlic, no strong perfumes, don't eat or drink anything within 30 minutes before or after taking medicine.

Thank you! I read about Sepia and it feels right to me, too. I appreciate your help and guidance. I am feeling really irritable among other things. I will wait a day or two to see if this passes and if not will go ahead with suggestion of nux vomica, etc. If I am feeling better should I still proceed with Sepia 200c?
Thanks, again!
PS Can Sepia resolve or help with long term depression?

If I am feeling better should I still proceed with Sepia 200c?
No.

Can Sepia resolve or help with long term depression?
Yes. If it is indicated on the basis of totality of symptoms as it seems to be in your case.

Hi, Kadwa. I am feeling better after taking the nux vomica and sepia. I have noticed a few things and wondered what you might think.
First, my face has broken out with some white heads. My neck, around my ears is bumpy. And my collar bone has some red
spots, as well.
I am tired, but feeling so much better than usual. Have been wanting to eat, even when not particularly hungry.
Overall, happy things seem to be looking up. Will that continue? Will i take any additional remedies or more of the sepia?
Thank you for your suggestions.

You should not take any homeo remedy now. Let the remedy work internally. Please try to do the breathing exercises regularly that i am suggesting to you. Please read my posts on the breathing exercises called as Anulom Vilom Pranayam and Kapalbhati Pranayam by following the links given below. Please practise these pranayams regularly for half an hour preferably in a garden early in the morning. You may practise at any other convinient time. The only restriction that you have to follow is not to do these exercises within 4 hours after meals. You can have meals not within 15 minutes after finishing these exercises.

Hi, Kadwa. It's been 12 days since taking the Sepia. Mentally I feel better. I have a couple concerns. The skin on my face and neck is broken out and I am hungry without being satiated. My weight has gone up a few lbs. I am assuming from the overeating. Any suggestions? Will these things subside? Should i take any additional dose?
Thank you.
PS I don't have much drive to exercise and I normally enjoy exercising.

The remedy should not be repeated if you are feeling better at mental level.
If you could do the breathing exercises regularly your other problems like unsatiated hunger, skin breakouts will be taken care.
It is not good to take homeo remedy to take care of anything that happens. If one takes homeo remedy unnecessarily that may lead to proving symptoms instead of relief.

Hi, Kadwa. It has been a couple weeks since taking the Sepia 200c. I have stopped my antidepressant, but still get angry at times. I dwell on past issues and tend to obsess about them (feel jealous, insecure about my husbands ex) My period has started 3 times (along with PMS symtoms mentioned above but that is typical as of late) My weight has increased 8 lbs. and I am constipated.
However, my energy is a bit better. I am generally happier and hope it continues. I am concerned about the weight gain, anger, obsessiveness and constipation.
Any suggestions?
PS Am doing the breathing exercises. Thank you!

PS Think I took Nux vom 30c last week for some reason but can't remember why.
Hope that helps.

Weight gain should be checked by controlling stress eating. The regularity in doing breathing exercises should definitely help here. You may take a single dose of Sepia 200c if your anger, obsessiveness and constipation worsen. It (a single dose of Sepia 200c) should not be repeated with a gap of less than 15 days. It should not be taken unnecessarily. There is no need to repeat the dose just because 15 days have passed since the last dose.
