chalazion
Hi - I have what I beleive to be a chalazion - I have been to the opthamologist and she says she things she sees something under the eyelid but is not completely sure. she says it looks like it may have already drained - well my eyelid has been swelled for over a month so my guess is no. It is making me insane - I need to figure something out - I have tried the hot compresses - steroid drops, antibiotic drops - everything to no avail - People say that can't really notice - but maybe the eye looks smaller - I can definitely tell the difference. Looking for suggestions.jande129 on 2010-01-17

If it is in fact a chalazion Staphysagria would be my first choice. I would try a 30C first dry (5 pellets or so). If you notice improvement put it in water (a water bottle half full) and dissolve about 5-10 pellets. Take a TBSP of the watery dose then. Any subsequent doses should be taken after succussing the remedy. This means to hold about a foot above the hand and then bang it on the palm of the opposite hand 10 times. Again taking a TBSP. **If it helps, be careful when you re-dose. If you take it too soon before you need to you can cause an aggravation. So only take it when you notice the good effects from the remedy going away. So if the swelling goes down, do not re-dose until you are SURE you notice it coming back. Got it? Too many people find the right remedy, then mess it up by the wrong dosing. Remedies are not like the medications people take every so many hours.
