Snoring!!!!affecting my married life.Please help

My husband/age 38 yrs is suffering from snoring. He does not opens his mouth during snoring. It is not better even with lying on one side. His weight is normal and he does not smokes or drink alcohol. Endoscopy normal. K/c/o Hyperthyroidism. Craving for salt is marked. Please help as it has got so worse that we sleep in seperate rooms and it is affecting our married life.

Hi Rishimba,

I am also facing this problem...my husband is 33yrs old and underweight..snoring started some 3 yrs back and its become very bad now. Can I also give him the same medicine as prescribed above? Plz also tell what do u mean by one dose?? one globuli, tablet or drop??

you may try OPIUM 12C or 30c one dose before sleeping.

one dose would be 3 to 4 drops in some 10 ml of water.

Oh yes...one more question...i should give this daily for how long??? and i have opium 200c at home currently...though its a very high potency...would it be ok to give 1 drop instead of 3 to 4 drops of 30c??? and if yes, then for how long should it be given??

please start with a low potency and gradually go higher..the effect is better.

12c potency can be given for some days continuously..like for 2 weeks or so..but after a few doses, if the snoring stops, you should discontinue it and only start again when the snoring recurs.

if the low potency doesnt work even after some 4 to 6 doses, go for 200c one dose and check response for some days.

if opium creates a response, it will show its effect in these potencies or not at all.

Hi Rishimba,

I have been giving my husband opium 12c for a week now...i can clearly see the difference...the snoring has become 90% less but 10% is still there...especially if he forgets to take medicine a day its back to square one!! :( should i keep the medicine goin on or change the potency?? plz advice.

keep the remedy going in the same potency for some days more..

change the potency to 30c only if the 12c doesnt work any more.

Hi, thanx for your reply.
He does not have any nasal obstruction, congestion, adenoids, or obesity according to an ENT specialist. During sleep, he feels as if his throat has been choked up and his breathing has stopped in between. His sleeping pattern is not proper as he has to do night shifts often.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that he complains his tongue falls back durng sleep associated with tongue biting some times. I have noticed that he grinds his teeth during sleep off and on. Do I still start with Arnica 30.

I am 52, 85 Kg, 5'7'. I do get complaint that I snore very loudly. Whenever wife gets disturbed, she just wakes me up so that she can sleep peacefully. Can you help me in this regard? Please.....

there are some remedies for snoring...but the cause of it should be known first.

also, if other symptoms match, the remedy will hold better.

can your answer the above questions.
