Sameer: Lupus Nephritis
Hi Sameer,This post is regarding my mom.
Female
age 47
blond hair blue eyes
5'7' 160lbs, tends toward weight gain
1 child
Main complaints:
-lupus nephritis began 10 years agoat age 37(began after pregnancy and abortion): kidney membranes affected, she pees out albumin
-edema, she may gain up to 3 pounds of water in a day-- this goes all over but has been known to go in stomach also
-high blood pressure
-insomnia
-hot flashes, no period for 5 years(probably due to chemotherapy)
Mental:
-anger, set off by little things, snappy
-masks strong emotions, bottles it up
-very defensive
-cannot sympathize: says tough it out or snap out of it
-when I(daughter) am sad and need to talk, she gets angry because i am getting her down and thinks i am blaming her and sometimes starts weeping
about her childhood
-will remember past times i have hurt her feelings and bring them up
-sensitive, feelings hurt easily
-pushy with close people
-picky
-little things annoy
-very strong willed
-ambitious and gets the job done no matter what
-extremely responsible, expects it from others
-organized, likes things in their place
-has a hard time showing love/affection to me
-hates when people say they'll do something and then don't-- hates irresponsibility
-needs alone time but gets lonely too
-easily offended
-clever, outgoing, capable
-very high expectations for self and others
skin:
-moles
-the kind of wart-moles that are small and stick up from the skin, she tears them off
-thin skin, can see veins
other physical:
-hemorrhoids
-constipates easily
-periodic toenail infections
childhood:
-nephritis in childhood
-ignored by father, he was out of picture soon
-ignored by mother somewhat
(i suspect she feels abandoned by parents)
