Sinus cyst and sinusitis and migraines

Hello,

I have bee suffering from migraines for a few years (first I get pain in my lower right neck and right base of skull, then the pain moves up and takes over the right side of my head, I become sensitive to light and slightly nauseous. Advil, etc. doesn't help. Massaging the neck slightly relieves the symptoms, but not by much.)
I have also had a cold every 3-4 weeks for a number of months. A CT scan revealed that my sinuses are stuffed and inflamed, and that I have a large cyst in my left sinus. A 2-week Augmentin course did not help. ENT says I'll continue having a sinus infection until he performs an endoscopic sinus surgery to drain sinuses and remove the cyst.

Questions:
- Are the migraines and sinus problems related?
- Is there alternative treatment for the chronic sinus infection? What about for the cyst?

Thank you!
Ashka

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
you need to describe your personality, your profession, your likes and dislikes, inner most urges and desires, response to various situations, your emotional side of personality and all other information which helps to describe your psychology.

also, describe all other physical ailments you have or you did have in the past which might have lead to this problem.

I am a lawyer. Female. I'm generally happy, but have a fickle, sometimes moody personality. I'm usually tired, very low energy. I often have trouble concentrating. I get bored easily, wanting to move on to the next thing.
I like good food, laughter, nature, breathing in truly fresh air, a good book, relaxation. If allowed, I want to sleep 10 hours a day...but sometimes if I spend my days relaxing I feel angry at myself at the end of the day because I didn't accomplish much.
I anger easily. I am capable of intense emotion, both positive and negative. I also am often worried that I have upset someone by something I said and get easily embarrassed.
Physical ailments:
I was very sick as a child with various childhood illnesses, asthma, etc. As an adult, I get colds all the time, acne, sensitive skin. A few years ago, I had a bad bout of staph infection on my skin--it took many courses of antibiotics and Chinese herbal medicine for it to go away. I experience pain in my neck and shoulders and have sciatica.
