Avastin

My brother has stage 4 colon cancer. He is now undergoing chemo with avastin and other 3 chemo drugs. Ultrasound on April 15 shows normal kidney size Rt kidney measures 11x6x4.7cm w/cortical thickness 2.4 and Left 11.5x5.8x5.3cm w/cortical thickness of 1.7. A month later kidney measures Right 9.89x5.3x4.35 Cortical thickness 2.6 Left 8.79x5.12x4.77cm CT 2.10. Almost a REDUCTION IN SIZE BY 3CM. There is parenchymal echogenecity and poor corticomedullary differentiation. Before his 3rd chemo he went to an Internist who said he can go have his 3rd chemo. Everything is fine. Now the 4th chemo is approaching my brother went to a different Oncologist and this guy said it is fine you can have your 4th Chemo - that the reduction in the kidney size is reversible. Is this true??? I am very worried that this will get into end stage kidney. Final impression of the ultrasound report says Renal Parenchymal disease Bilateral. Am I paranoid. Is this nothing? Is this Reversible??

I was reading on Avastin and found out that Avastin has caused renal failure for some 26 years old guy with colon cancer.
