allery (my (2 year old is tossing and turning at night)

My two year old may have a allergy, I can hear her breath heavy at night and tossing and turning all night long. When she awakes up I see her left eye has discharge. I don't think she is getting a good night of sleep. This has been going on for three weeks now.
She also had her 2 year check up and had some immunization shots- so i am not sure if this is related.

Any other medical history of yourself and your husband or from your parental sides?

What does your daughter like in food? Is there any pronounced craving/dislikes?

Is there an associated problem of bed-wetting as well?

Does she talk of any particular dreams?

What is the colour of her eyes and hair?

Med His- me none, my dad-died of kidney failure and had hypertension.
mom and grand ma -arthritis
my husband has IBS, and allergies and exzema.
My daughter loves fruits-grapes in particular, loves cheese. She does not seems to drink a lot of water. She is not potty trained but we are trying that right now and she seems to really communicate well but when it comes to going to the restroom she is not letting us know when she has to go. It could be due to I started putting her on the potty at age one and even when she cried i put her on there so that could have tramatized her i am not sure. Yesterday when I was giving her a bath and new she wanted to go to the bathroom and told her to hold on and but she went into the bath tub.
She does not talk about dreams but she loves dogs and little kids and she talks about her cousin alot.
she has black hair and black eys.

Hi Thusa

Please give her Aconitum napellus 30c. Try to get the medicine in dilution.

The dosing procedure is as follows:

1. Put three drops from the dilution into 250 ml of spring water.

2. Shake for 8-10 times.

3. Give two teaspoonful from that solution.

4. Give two such doses in the morning, ideally before breakfast, separated by 30 minutes each.

Precautions:

1. No more than two doses suggested above are to be given.

2. Don't give her tea, coffee, raw garlic/onion, and high protien diets for a few days from the treatment.

3. Make her drink a lot of water.

4. Nothing should enter the mouth half an hour before the firts and after the last dose.

Observe for 3 days after the doses being administerd and report back.

Best wishes

Dear Niel,

Aconite will not do anything in this case. This medicine has NO anti miasmatic properties at all. It is exclusively an acute remedy with a very specific mental state of overwhelming anxiety and fear.

This case is a highly tubercular manifestation (it runs in the family) and only a remedy with tubercular preponderence will give cure.

That remedy seems to be Phosphorus here.

Thusha, can you please answer these to confirm:

1./) Does the child have long eye lashes?

2./) Is the child graceful in her mannersims ?

3./) How sympathetic or affectionate is the child ?

4./) Does the child show strong desire for cold drinks , ice or ice creams ?

Hi Sameer

I agree with what you have said. But I had this nagging feeling that it might be an acute disorder given that only one of the parents show a disturbing history.

So, was just testing for that.

Thusa, please answer to the questions posed by Sameer.

Best wishes

Yes she has very long egy lashes.
she is every sympathetic and affectionate and she does not want others to be hurt.
We don't give her ice creams or cold food too much so that is hard to tell.
She does fall a lot so I don't know how graceful she is.

I did do one think over the last few days which seems to have made a difference. I really cleaned her room very well and placed her crib facing north so her head is placed north and she has been sleeping a little better. She is not tossing and turning as much. When she awakes her head is still int he north position.

Somehow I seriously doubt that there is a tubercular miasm in play here.

Infact, if you look at the way I had formulated my questions, they were all with the feeling that there might be a tubercular miasm. But, somehow, always felt that I should wait a little before jumping into a deep-acting miasmatic remedy.

The fact that changing the room and position helped her may suggest that that the symptoms were just an acute manifestation of a discomfort that the body was facing.

I suggest we wait for some more days.

And if this sustains as an acute manifestation, Aconite is the best remedy.

Would like to have your thoughts on this.

Best wishes

Okay, fair enough, please go ahead with what you feel is best.

Aconite works for acutest of the acute cases, if we could put it that way, given within 24 hours of the onset of the problem and not 3 weeks as is the case here.

If given it would give no more than temporary symptomatic relief.

Sameer: Your timely intervention and your friend advice are required for the benefit of patients on this site. Your depth of knowledge, skills and acumen would suffice to guide not only the aspiring but even the accomplished homeopaths here.

My suggestion would be to give her a single dose of PHOSPHORUS 6c as follows:

Dissolve 2 pellets of Phos 6c in a 250 ml spring water bottle. If you leave the pellets in water for 30 mins, they will melt. You can turn the bottle upside down a few times for the pellets to spread after dissolving.

1 teaspoon from here using a disposable spoon is 1 dose.

Let me know in 3 days after the dose. I look forward to your response.

Restrictions:

1/. Nothing should enter the mouth for 40 minutes prior to, or after taking the remedy.
2/. Do not touch the tablets with your hands, tip them into the cap of the container they came in and then into the water .
3/. Avoid coffee, tea (including green), and other sources of caffeine such as some fizzy drinks and large amounts of chocolate, except where this would cause a drastic change in consumption
4/. Avoid wearing perfume/aftershave, or exposure to anything with a strong smell while under treatment. This includes any and all essential oils, and incense.
5/. Avoid the consumption of excessively spicey foods
6/. The use of medicinal herbs, either as 'teas' or supplements should be AVOIDED during Homoeopathic treatment, as should the use of over the counter medication, unless this has been recommended by an MD.
7/. Nothing of a medicinal nature should be applied to the skin
