The ABC Homeopathy Forum

I need some help!

Hello. I'm 33, female, married for 4 years, educated. I started homeopathy 2 years ago. My doctor gave me Ignatia for 6 months. I'm not totally cured, but I feel better. The problem is that lately I don't feel really well. I hate my job, especially the people in it, I gained a lot of weight (18 kilos) and I feel fat and ugly. I have no self-confidence. I cry a lot. I want to help myself, I want to look and feel good again, I want my lost confidence...
What can I do? Can you help me?

Thank you.

This is just a forum. Assume posts are not from medical professionals.
What was the potency and dosage of Ignatia?

Do you have any children?

What are your eating preferences?

Do you generally feel hot or cold?

What time of the day do you feel better/worse?

Do you have any physical complaints?

Thank you for your fast response.

What was the potency and dosage of Ignatia? I can't read the prescription well, but I think he gave me 6X, 1 tablet every second day. The dosage changed later.

Do you have any children? No, I don't because I don't feel that I'm ready.

What are your eating preferences? I like eating meat, fatty food, and I like drinking beer. Food is like a relief for me.

Do you generally feel hot or cold? There are certain times that I feel cold and others hot.

What time of the day do you feel better/worse? I feel better in the morning and worse in the evening. My work starts after lunchtime at 2:00.

Do you have any physical complaints? I sometimes feel sharp pains in my chest and sometimes my left breast hurts. I am left handed.(I don't know if that helps). When I started homeopathy I had a serious problem with my intestine and I felt sick. Now my intestine annoys me only when I feel stressed. I am a classical case of Ignatia. I had all the symptoms in the beginning.

I don't know if I've helped you.

Thank you for your time.

Guinevere,

You need to tell me a little bit more about your history.
What was the environment like when you were growing up?
How long have you been married?
Have you felt this way for a long time? Why did you feel compelled to seek out a doctor?
Do you feel afraid of confrontations?
Are you overly sensitive to criticism?
Are you sensitive to touch?
Is there anything about your current living situation that you don't like?

Please let me know, along with any other information you think might be relevant.

Thank you.

I will try to tell you some things. I'm not a native speaker so my English aren't very good.
What was the environment like when you were growing up? The environment I lived in was very healthy. My parents are excellent. My childhood was a happy one. My family is religious.
How long have you been married? I am married for 4 years. I have been living with my husband for 6 years.
Have you felt this way for a long time? My symptoms started two years ago. My husband quit his job at that time and we had some financial problems. That's when I started homeopathy. Why did you feel compelled to seek out a doctor? Because I wasn't feeling well. I went to all the doctors. I checked my thyroid, my heart, blood tests, everything. I was afraid that I was going to die. I couldn't breathe well. I was taking pills for my stomach. After homeopathy the symptoms stopped.
Do you feel afraid of confrontations? Yes, I am. I'm a person that even when something annoys me, I keep it inside and I don't respond. I usually cry by myself.
Are you overly sensitive to criticism? Yes, I am. Especially from people that are not my family or friends. For example from people in my job.
Are you sensitive to touch? My parents didn't hug me or kiss me a lot. I find it difficult to hug somebody.
Is there anything about your current living situation that you don't like? I don't like my job. I don't like the people there. I don't like fake people. I want to leave, but I don't know what I'm going to do. My boss stresses me a lot.
I like going out, being with friends but my husband wants to stay at home.
I had a car accident when I was 19. It wasn't something serious but it left me a trauma. I went to a therapist.
I am afraid of heights, doctors (especially the dentist) and cancer (my aunt died 8 years ago from breast cancer. I fear that my husband is going to leave me.
That's all that I remember now.
Thank you.

My apologies for the delayed response.

The picture is starting to become a little clearer based on the information you provided.

I need to know more about the following:

a) your medical history
b) any medication (injections or oral-prescription that you have taken in the past)
c) do you still have financial problems? or do you still worry about financial ruin?
d) do you have any bony growths?
e) do you experience any irregularities with you menstrual cycle?
f) what was the problem you had with your intestine that now only bothers you under stress?
g) do you feel comfortable wearing a turtle neck or a high collar shirt which covers your neck?

Please let me know.

Thank you.

a) My medical history: No serious illnesses. When I was 18 my brother and I had mononucleosis. 2 years ago I had a gastroenteritis that bothered me for nearly two months. That's when my psychological problems started. I thought I was going to die. I couldn't eat, sleep, I was crying all the time. I went to all the doctors, I did all the testings and I didn't have anything. I thought I had a problem with my heart. I went to a cardiologist. Nothing. I checked my thyroid. Nothing again.
b) the only medication I took during that time was for the gastroenteritis. I was addicted to them. I was feeling better only when I took them. I stopped them right after I started homeopathy. I didn't take anything ever since.
c) We still have some financial problems but nothing too serious. We both work right now.
d) I'm sorry I don't quite understand the meaning of bony growths. If I can understand do you mean osteoarthritis? My mother and my grandmother have a serious problem with sciatica and arthritis. And my pathologist told me that I'm going to have the same problem in the future.
e) No I don't. I used to have as a teenager but they stopped.
f) As I told you, I had a gastroenteritis and the symptoms continued for nearly two months. That's the reason I went to a homeopathist. Now I have those symptoms only when I have stress or sad about something.
g) I don't have problems wearing these clothes. I wear high collar shirts all winter.
Do you think that my pains have something to do with arthritis?

I hope I've helped you.
Thank you for your time.
Take care.

Hi,

Thank you for your response.

What i meant by 'bony growths' was the hardening and protrusion of bone in some areas. it obviously isn't a concern otherwise you would have felt it by now.

i would recommend taking a single dose of nux vomica 200c.

This will purge your system of any residual toxins you may have from the medication taken years ago.

Also take a single dose of Kali Phosphoricum 200X twice a week.

If you do decide to proceed with what i recommend, please do not take any other medication if you do experience an upset stomach or anything of the sort.

My suggestions are only suggestions. Please feel free to disregard them completely if you do not feel completely comfortable. I'm sure you have homeopathic help available in close proximity, should you feel the need to talk to someone before taking any medication.

Please let me know if you've taken the
Nux Vomica 200C so we can discuss the next medicine to take.
