I am a 54 yr. old woman fine boned... blue eyes olive skin 5`5" 140 lb. long slender hands

there is a dull aching pain in my left shoulder...left wrist and thumb joint... left hip in back..just on the left side of my spine and in the morning when I get out of bed my left foot also hurts. I roll it on a tennis ball while sitting in a chair...this seems to help Mothings hurt when I am sleeping..only when turning over then my back hurts. It is worsened when I wear store purchased reading glasses or my 2 yr. old perscription. Then it feels like my spine is twisted and the whole left side symtoms are worse. I am waiting for new ones to come.
I am sensitive to criticism
indecisive...procrastinator
I have been told that I am elegant...put together...model type but I CANNOT believe it...I feel heavy...homely...hate having pics taken...at times to the point of tears...the same with compliments about my looks or abilities I feel like people are obligated.
I like oily food...not particularily sweets but if I start sweets I can`t stop. I do not like red chilie.
I have 10-15 lbs. that don`t want to go away.
Had tonsils out as a child and appencics at 40ish. I am on no medication...had 5 children...no medication..breastfed all

ooops forgot! I have a difficult time wearing a bra...things wrapped around my chest and around my neck

also my left shoulder ends up much higher than it should be and I have to consciously bring it down where it belongs...weird

the aforementioned "Shoulder" discomfort is shoulder in closer to neck.not joint where arm comes out.
also I have gas lately.

Thank you for your response. I have a few more clues that I thought of this morning that might help or change things.
Bags under eyes
back worse when I sleep on back...which I find myself doing
often have a mild headache when I wake up in morning
red eyes later in the day
difficulty breathing when I am stressed
Asian practioner suggested
six flavor rehmanni also called liu wei di huang wan for a long time
do you know about this and what is your opinion...continue while doing the homeopathic? Is your recomendation still the same?
Thank you for your time.

How do u feel on waking up in morning , does sleep tends to increase your problems or lessen them .

Do u feel better in cod weather or in warm weather , do u prefer cold drinks or warm drinks .

Does physical exertion cause your extremeties that is hand and feet to become cold .

Are u sensitive to touch or any clothing around your throat and abdomen .

You ask, How I feel in the morning. When I wake I sometimes have a dull headache that encompasses the whole top and feels like it is in my neck and back too...although very dull...sometimes I will take an asprin and in about 15 minutes it is gone and I am very happy and energetic...this is also often acompanied by a bowel movement...the asprin has caffeine. In the winter I have a difficult time waking...like I am drugged...like I have taken root in my bed.....spring seems better...
Often my low back feels like I could break in two...as I move about it gets better
I think I feel better in warm weather
I drink room temp. water or hot tea
my extremeties are not cold after exertion
Things on my throat and around my chest...ie: bra are panicicky feeling. Esp. bra...a bra interferes with thinking and communicating...that is how I feel. Hope this gives some insight
Another thing that came to mind is that since I was young there has been a slightly numb area on my left shoulder blade...at times it itches but it is an odd sensation to scratch it because it has a numb feeling

I just noticed that you asked me to explain the whole..."hate having pics taken...feel heavy...homely"
I see myself in pictures or reflection as a heavy block and I feel embarassed...
and when people compliment me
initially I feel good but soon feel that it is not true...I usually quietly throw pictures of myself away...no one knows this...
I hate this about myself

Re: left side pain...clench teeth in sleepFrom outsidethebox [Log on to view profile] on 2009-04-24
I don`t recall if I have ever used it. If I did it was as an amateur. I have had a kit of homeopathics for about 16 years.
Know I am curious...what part of the world are you from?
Today I ordered the lachesis in the strength that you suggested. So When it comes we`ll start.

Some other meds you can think of:

1. Kali Carb. 200 ...if your hair are very dry and there is swelling in your upper eye lids

2. Cupprum Met 200...if you also have stomach ache frequently and there is tingling sensation in your fingers / finger nails

3. Hydrastis 30 ...if you have constipation and prolapsed rectum.

4. Ceonanthus Q ...if your spleen is enlarged and there is high BP (get it checked from a doc).

I did research on lachesis and am amazed at the personality description... Pain on getting up in the morning...left side...so I think that I will try this.

none of the other med suggestions seemed to apply.

Now, tell me, how does this all work?...looks like a lot of names from India. Also it appears that a lot of Dr. consult together. Is homeopathy standard medicine in India? Do you enjoy doing this? It seems like it would be fun!

Re: left side pain...clench teeth in sleepFrom PANKAJ VARMA [Log on to view profile] on 2009-04-24
Yes homeopathy and herbal meds are quite popular in India.

For Lachesis to be a correct option, you should be having high BP or you could be taking high BP meds regularly ??

Left sided headache from sunrise to sun set is also peculiar to Spigelia ..

No offence meant to Vikas Grover.

best wishes

I do not kave high blood pressure or take blood pressure medication....
also do not have left side headache from morn to eve.
actually I do not have headaches very often except on arising in morning...they go away quickly after I get up and move around...or take an asprin.

Lachesis is the right choice of drug. But i am confused about the potency of drug.It is very dangerous to take lower potency of lachesis frequently. As it is a chronic case, start the case with higher potency(like lachesis 1M,single dose) will be beneficial for the patient.

Re: left side pain...clench teeth in sleepFrom sameervermani [Log on to view profile] on 2009-04-24
Hmm... interesting..comment this ..

"Lachesis .....It is very dangerous to take lower potency of lachesis frequently. As it is a chronic case, start the case with higher potency(like lachesis 1M,single dose) will be beneficial for the patient."

Beyond 12c the potencies have no material substance present, and hence there is no question of a substance being dangerous in any way. In fact, I would argue, the higher the potency (which you are advocating), the more the dangers of an aggravation.

There is no need to start a case with a potency like 1M as you do not know the sensitivity of the patient nor the degree of vitality..

These kind of statements are totally meant to confuse the patient.. where as there should be no confusion..

Vikas is absolutely correct in starting from 6c or 30c.

Re: left side pain...clench teeth in sleepFrom outsidethebox [Log on to view profile] on 2009-04-24
so...6c is it? Hope so because that is what I ordered today!!!
Is this a scary thing to take? Do you have any idea what I should experience or do we just wait and see?

Re: left side pain...clench teeth in sleepFrom sameervermani [Log on to view profile] on 2009-04-24
Yes whichever out of 6c or 30c you take, just 3 doses and then you should just wait and watch.

Stay in close touch with Vikas.
